Off-Grid DOA Estimation for Wideband LFM Signals in FRFT Domain Using the Sensor Arrays
For the direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimators based on sparse signal representation, the feasibility and precision are greatly restricted by the inherent limitation of the predefined spatial discrete grids.

Actuation of Cell Layers in Three Dimensions
ABSTRACT The alignment of fibers and cells in living tissues affect their mechanical properties and functionality. In this context, one can draw an analogy between tissues and nematic liquid crystal elastomers. We explore this analogy by growing fibroblasts on 2D‐patterned substrates and observing the contraction of cell sheets upon detachment from the

Adaptive quasi-dynamic state estimation for MV and LV grids
State estimation in middle- (MV) and low-voltage (LV) electrical grids poses a number of challenges for the estimation method employed. A significant difference to high-voltage grids is the lack of measurements as the instrumentation with measurement ...

Inverse Design of Amorphous Materials With Targeted Properties
AMDEN is a diffusion model framework for the inverse design of amorphous materials with targeted properties. By incorporating Hamiltonian Monte Carlo refinement into the denoising process, the framework overcomes the challenge of generating thermally relaxed disordered structures.

A sparse-grid isogeometric solver [PDF]
Isogeometric Analysis (IGA) typically adopts tensor-product splines and NURBS as a basis for the approximation of the solution of PDEs. In this work, we investigate to which extent IGA solvers can benefit from the so-called sparse-grids construction in its combination technique form, which was first introduced in the early 90s in the context of the ...

Leaftronics: Bio‐Fractal Scaffolds From Leaf Venation for Low‐Waste Electronics
“Leaftronics” transforms naturally evolved leaf venation into quasi‐fractal scaffolds for sustainable electronics. Polymer‐infiltrated leaf skeletons can be used to fabricate ultra‐smooth, reflow‐ and thin‐film‐compatible decomposable substrates, while making the same lignocellulose networks conducting results in flexible transparent electrodes.
