The ORCA‐TWIN qCMOS Experiment I. Science Case and Commissioning at Calar Alto Observatory

ABSTRACT We describe a pilot study to explore a new generation of fast and low noise CMOS image sensors for time domain astronomy, using two remote telescopes with a baseline of 1635 km. The experiment involves direct imaging with novel qCMOS image sensor technology that combines fast readout with sub‐electron readout noise.

The regeneration process following dLhCG engraftment progressed through four distinct and interconnected stages. dLhCG maintained its regenerative efficacy after 6 months of cosmic exposure, supporting its potential application in space medicine.

Comparative Assessment of Landsat‐8 and SPOT‐7 Satellite Data With Field Spectral Measurements for Estimating Plant Diversity in Sandy Grasslands

We compared Landsat‐8 OLI, SPOT, and hyperspectral data for estimating vascular plant diversity in China's Hunshandak Sandland. SPOT data showed the strongest correlation with alpha diversity, followed by hyperspectral data, with Landsat‐8 performing the weakest.
