Correlations Between Switching of Conductivity and Optical Radiation Observed in Thin Graphite-Like Films [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2006
The satisfactory explanation of abnormal electromagnetics in thin graphite-like carbon films till now is absent. The most comprehensible explanation may be the high-temperature superconductivity (HTSC). Times of spasmodic switching of electrical conductivity are measured in this work in graphite-like nanostructured carbon films, produced by methods of ...

Josephson-Like Behaviour of Granular Carbon Films [PDF]

open access: yesPriroda, N8, p.38-44 (2007), 2007
This work presents the study of some new anomalous electromagnetic effects in graphite-like thin carbon films. These are: The fast switching (1nanosecond) of electrical conductivity The detection of microwave radiation and its temperature dependence The oscillations of film stack magnetization in the magnetic field of 1-5 T. The optical radiation under

Oromandibular Dystonia—Meige′s Syndrome: Report of a Rare Case with Review

open access: yesJournal of Indian Academy of Oral Medicine and Radiology, 2010
Meige′s syndrome is a combination of two forma of dystonia; blepharospasm and oromandibular dystonia (OMD). Oromandibular dystonia (OMD) is a form of focal dystonia affecting head and neck region, including the lower face, jaw, tongue and larynx.

O uso da toxina botulínica no tratamento da distonia laríngea (disfonia espasmódica): estudo preliminar com doze pacientes Use of botulinum toxin in the treatment of laryngeal dystonia (spasmodic dysphonia): preliminary study of twelve patients

open access: yesArquivos de Neuro-Psiquiatria, 2001
A distonia laríngea (disfonia espasmódica) é distúrbio do movimento caracterizado por contrações involuntárias da musculatura laríngea envolvida no processo de vocalização.

Detecting Parkinson's Disease From an Online Speech-task [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
In this paper, we envision a web-based framework that can help anyone, anywhere around the world record a short speech task, and analyze the recorded data to screen for Parkinson's disease (PD). We collected data from 726 unique participants (262 PD, 38% female; 464 non-PD, 65% female; average age: 61) -- from all over the US and beyond.

Treatment of Palatal Myoclonus with Botulinum Toxin Injection

open access: yesCase Reports in Otolaryngology, 2013
Palatal myoclonus is a rare cause of pulsatile tinnitus in patients presenting to the otolaryngology office. Rhythmic involuntary contractions of the palatal muscles produce the pulsatile tinnitus in these patients.
