The temporal-spatial distribution of seriously maltreated children

Spatial and Spatio-temporal Epidemiology, 2017
This descriptive study utilized Bernoulli and Poisson spatial scan statistical models in SatScan v.9.4 to examine the distribution in space and time of residence of maltreatment cases-operationalized as families with serious maltreatment (resulting in death or hospitalization) of children under 6 years-for the presence of clusters ("hot spots"). In the

Visual exploration of the spatial distribution of temporal behaviors

Ninth International Conference on Information Visualisation (IV'05), 2005
The paper elaborates on the previous research on the analysis of temporal and spatio-temporal data done in statistical graphics and geo-visualization. We focus on the exploration of spatially distributed time-series data, i.e. values of numeric attributes referring to different moments in time and locations in space.

Task Allocation for Spatially and Temporally Distributed Tasks

2013
In multi robot task allocation, a set of tasks has to be allocated to a group of robots while optimizing some measure (for example, fuel or time). In order to find the optimal allocation, an exponential number of possibilities must be explored. In this work, we extend the Consensus Based Bundle Algorithm, to improve its support for tasks with time ...

Spatial and Temporal Distribution of Gold Deposits in theUrals

Economic Geology, 2001
During the past 10 years, the Paleozoic Urals mountain belt has been the subject of internationally based, deep seismic, and ancillary geologic studies aimed at improving our knowledge of the lithospheric evolution of the orogenic belt, in general, and its prominent crustal root, in particular.

Spatial and Temporal Distribution of Energy

Health Physics, 1988
Studies of the spatial and temporal distribution of microscopic radiation doses lead to potentially important questions regarding conventional approaches to radiation protection. The short ranges of alpha-particle and Auger-electron emissions from radionuclides lead to uncertainties in assessing their hazards.

On the spatial and temporal distribution of clusters

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1994
The paper considers some basic stochastic properties of assemblies of objects randomly distributed in space or appearing in time as a nonstationary flux of random events. General formulas are derived for the probability distribution function of the distances between nth neighbours in a ν-dimensional space.

Visualization of Spatial-Temporal Distribution of Damage Reports

2019 IEEE Conference on Visual Analytics Science and Technology (VAST), 2019
This paper presents our visualization tool developed to address Mini Challenge 1 of the 2019 VAST Challenge [1]. The insights obtained using this tool are described separately in our main competition entry, which will be archived in the Visual Analytics Benchmark Repository [2].

Spatial and Temporal Distribution of Floods

2013
Flood mapping and monitoring was performed using both Landsat and Radarsat data from 1988 to 2009. Multi-temporal satellite data were digitally classified using a threshold algorithm to determine the spatial and temporal distribution of floods. In addition, flood depths were calculated using the highest water-level data with a DEM.

Temporal discretization of spatially distributed systems

Proceedings of the 38th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control (Cat. No.99CH36304), 2003
There have been efforts previously to use multidimensional system representations for the control of spatially distributed systems. By expressing spatially distributed systems as multidimensional system models, it has been shown that semidefinite programming techniques can be used for control design and analysis.

Quality Control for Crowdsourcing with Spatial and Temporal Distribution

2013
In the past decade, crowdsourcing has become a prospective paradigm for commercial purposes, for it brings a lot of benefits such as low cost and high immediacy, particularly in location-based services LBS. On the other side, there also exist many problems need to be solved in crowdsourcing.
