Visualization of Spatial-Temporal Distribution of Radioactivity Measurements

2019 IEEE Conference on Visual Analytics Science and Technology (VAST), 2019
This paper presents our visualization tool developed to address Mini Challenge 2 of the 2019 VAST Challenge [1]. This tool provides a number of linked interactive views of the provided data. The insights obtained using it are described separately in our main competition entry, which will be archived in the Visual Analytics Benchmark Repository [2].

Distributed Spatial and Spatio-Temporal Join on Apache Spark

ACM Transactions on Spatial Algorithms and Systems, 2019
Effective processing of extremely large volumes of spatial data has led to many organizations employing distributed processing frameworks. Apache Spark is one such open source framework that is enjoying widespread adoption. Within this data space, it is important to note that most of the observational data (i.e., data collected by sensors, either ...

Temporal and spatial changes in element distribution in bone and cartilage

Journal of Orthopaedic Science, 2009
Bone and cartilage act as reservoirs for a number of elements, and the perturbation of these elements is suggested to contribute to various diseases. Even so, little is known about their respective temporal and spatial distribution.Three knee joints of three mice on the first day after birth, three knee joints of 3-week-old mice, and three knee joints ...

Temporal and Spatial Distribution of Carbon Emissions

2008
In the early stages of research in climate change, the focus was on the quantification of global and regional carbon cycles. At this stage, the accurate determination of location and time of emissions played a less prominent role. But with the growing need for verification experiments and prior information for atmospheric transport models (Chaps. 3, 12)

Exploiting temporal and spatial constraints on distributed shared objects

Proceedings of 17th International Conference on Distributed Computing Systems, 2002
Gigabit network technologies have made it possible to combine workstations into a distributed, massively-parallel computer system. Middleware, such as distributed shared objects (DSO), attempts to improve programmability of such systems, by providing globally accessible 'object' abstractions.

A survey on the temporal and spatial distribution of perchlorate in the Potomac River

Journal of Environmental Monitoring, 2011
Samples of river water and treated drinking water were obtained from eight sites along the Potomac River between western Maryland and Washington DC. Samples were collected each month from October 2007 to September 2008 and analyzed for perchlorate by ion chromatography/mass spectrometry. Data on anions were also collected for seven of the twelve months.

The Temporal and Spatial Distribution of Macrophage Subpopulations During Arteriogenesis

Current Vascular Pharmacology, 2012
Chronic arterial occlusion leads to growth of collaterals - a process termed arteriogenesis, in which macrophages play a prominent role in remodelling and growth. However, a detailed analysis which of distinct macrophage subpopulations involved in arteriogenesis has never been performed.

Spatial and Temporal Distribution of Pedestrian Crashes

2019
In order to develop effective and targeted safety programs, the location and time-specific influences on vehicle-pedestrian crashes must be assessed. Therefore, spatial autocorrelation was applied to the examination of vehicle-pedestrian crashes in geographic information systems (GISs) to identify any dependency between time and location of these ...

List of Croatian birds. Spatial and temporal distribution.

Natura Croatica. Supplementum, 1998
In the List od Croatian Birds, 394 species are included. Among 246 nesting species et all, there are 223 regulary and 11 occasionally nesting birds, while 12 species are extinct as nesting birds. At 5 species more nesting is not significant. For each species, seasonal status and observation period are also included.
