Evaluating the Temporal and the Spatial Heterogeneity of the European Convergence Process, 1980-1999 [PDF]
In this paper, we suggest a general framework that allows testing simultaneously for temporal heterogeneity, spatial heterogeneity and spatial autocorrelation in b-convergence models.

SPATIALLY AND TEMPORALLY RESOLVED DISTRIBUTIONS OF LIQUID IN AN EFFERVESCENT SPRAY [PDF]
We employed Planar Laser-Induced Fluorescence (LIF) in combination with stereoscopic Particle Image Velocimetry for imaging of concentration and flux fields of liquid phase in an effervescent spray. Light heating oil (LHO) was continuously atomized with aid of pressurised air.

Unraveling the epigenetic code in cancer cell–tumor microenvironment crosstalk
Epigenetic regulation is a key driver of cancer development and progression. Diverse epigenetic alterations in cancer cells and components of the tumor microenvironment (TME) orchestrate their communication through multiple mechanisms. We discuss how the epigenetic code coordinates bidirectional cancer cell–TME crosstalk to promote cancer progression ...

Spatio-temporal modelling of crop co-existence in European agricultural landscapes [PDF]
The environmental risk of growing genetically modified (GM) crops and particularly the spreading of GM genes to related non-GM crops is currently a concern in European agriculture.

Temporal and Spatial Distribution of Ferredoxin Isoproteins in Tomato Fruit [PDF]
Abstract Five ferredoxin (Fd) isoproteins (FdA, FdB, FdC, FdD, and FdE) were isolated from tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum cv Momotaro) fruit. These isoproteins showed differential temporal and spatial accumulation patterns. FdA and FdC were present in leaves, FdE was present in roots, and FdB and FdD were fruit-specific.

Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐
