The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

On symmetric spatial configurations
The paper is concerned with symmetric 2-configurations \((v_ k)_ 2\) consisting of \(v\) points and \(v\) lines, \(k\) points on a line and \(k\) lines through a point, 2 lines have at most 2 points in common and 2 points are connected by at most 2 lines.

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Spin Current in p-wave Superconducting Rings
A formula of the spin current in mesoscopic superconductors is derived from the mean-field theory of superconductivity. The spin flow is generated by the spatial fluctuations of $\vec{d}$ which represents a spin state of spin-triplet superconductors.

Transverse tripolar stimulation for selective FNS [PDF]
Various anode-cathode configurations in a nerve cuff were modeled in order to optimize its spatial selectivity characteristics for FNS. Apart from the usual configurations (monopole, bipole, longitudinal tripole, ¿steering¿ anode), a transverse tripolar ...

SPACE SYNTAX ANALYSES IN DEFINING THE CONNECTION OF DEVELOPMENT CENTERS IN BALIKPAPAN
Old town means an historic or original core of a city which signifies the city’s origin growth. When the city develops and expands its built area, the emergence of a new development center will be inevitable.

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.
