Query processing of spatial objects: Complexity versus Redundancy [PDF]
The management of complex spatial objects in applications, such as geography and cartography, imposes stringent new requirements on spatial database systems, in particular on efficient query processing. As shown before, the performance of spatial query

Towards a Scalable Dynamic Spatial Database System [PDF]
With the rise of GPS-enabled smartphones and other similar mobile devices, massive amounts of location data are available. However, no scalable solutions for soft real-time spatial queries on large sets of moving objects have yet emerged.

Evaluation of Topological Consistency in CityGML
Boundary representation models are data models that represent the topology of a building or city model. This leads to an issue in combination with geometry, as the geometric model necessarily has an underlying topology.

Normative Values for 18-30 Age Group of Benton Visual Retention Test Scores and Pre-morbid Intelligence Quotients: New Data Comparisons for Diagnosing Memory and Visual Spatial Deficits in Alzheimer's Disease and Stroke [PDF]
The Benton Visual Retention Test (BVRT) is a well known test used to assess visual memory deficits and visual spatial abilities in patients. Normative data for the 18-30 age group is not presently covered thoroughly; hence, this study continues the work ...

Linear separability in spatial databases [PDF]
Given two point sets $R$ and $B$ in the plane, with cardinalities $m$ and $n$, respectively, and each set stored in a separate R-tree, we present an algorithm to decide whether $R$ and $B$ are linearly separable. Our algorithm exploits the structure of the R-trees, loading into the main memory only relevant data, and runs in $O(m\log m + n\log n)$ time
