Cis‐regulatory and long noncoding RNA alterations in breast cancer – current insights, biomarker utility, and the critical need for functional validation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The noncoding region of the genome plays a key role in regulating gene expression, and mutations within these regions are capable of altering it. Researchers have identified multiple functional noncoding mutations associated with increased cancer risk in the genome of breast cancer patients.

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Hypertexte et géographie

open access: yesCybergeo, 1997
Reading is a common living experience; it is source of dualism : travel through a linear oriented structure as well as a graph’s projection on an imaginary screen. It is mostly automatic, unconscious.

Inferring an animal’s environment through biologging: quantifying the environmental influence on animal movement

open access: yesMovement Ecology, 2020
Background Animals respond to environmental variation by changing their movement in a multifaceted way. Recent advancements in biologging increasingly allow for detailed measurements of the multifaceted nature of movement, from descriptors of animal ...

Correlation of the differential expression of PIK3R1 and its spliced variant, p55α, in pan‐cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PIK3R1 undergoes alternative splicing to generate the isoforms, p85α and p55α. By combining large patient datasets with laboratory experiments, we show that PIK3R1 spliced variants shape cancer behavior. While tumors lose the protective p85α isoform, p55α is overexpressed, changes linked to poorer survival and more pronounced in African American ...

Modelling the folk theorem of spatial economics: a heterogeneous regional growth model [PDF]

open access: yes
During the last year, the research field of spatial economic has rapidly increased. There is consensus that the economic performance of a region depends not only on its own potential, but also on the development of their neighbouring regions.

Spatial Knowledge and Behaviour

open access: yes, 2017
Using spatial media to understand, navigate and act on the world is an integral element in being a connected, technology-using individual. Apple users discovered just how critical spatial media are to their everyday life when updating their mobile devices to the iOS6 operating system on 19 September 2012.
