Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCIs) provide means for communication and control without muscular movement and, therefore, can offer significant clinical benefits. Electrical brain activity recorded by electroencephalography (EEG) can be interpreted into software commands by various classification algorithms according to the descriptive features of the ...

Reviews in Fish Biology and Fisheries, 2007
Although migration patterns for various life history stages of the chokka squid (Loligo reynaudii) have been previously presented, there has been limited comparison of spatial variation in biological parameters. Based on data from research surveys; size ranges of juveniles, subadults and adults on the Agulhas Bank were estimated and presented spatially.

Spatial distribution patterns of Nephrops norvegicus on the Porcupine Bank (W. Ireland)
No abstracts are to be cited without prior reference to the author. The Porcupine Bank located at SW Ireland (ICES Divisions VIIb,c,j,k) combines some seabed and environmental characteristics (depth, currents, sedimentology) that support a high productive fishing ground of valuable bottom species (hake, anglerfish, megrim and Norway lobster –Nephrops ...Herraiz, I. Analyzing Spatial Patterns in Modern Carbonate Sand Bodies From Great Bahama Bank
Journal of Sedimentary Research, 2011Abstract Three carbonate sand bodies on Great Bahama Bank, which show a range of depositional facies patterns typifying modern deposits as well as their ancient counterparts, are quantitatively interrogated to broaden our perspective of the types of information that can be derived from studies of modern environments.

Relevance of Filter Bank Common Spatial Patterns Using Multiple Kernel Learning in Motor Imagery
2018Brain-Computer Interfaces directly communicate the human brain and machines through the analysis of sensorimotor activity, relying on the Motor Imagery paradigm of cognitive neuroscience. Conventional BCI systems use electroencephalographic signals due to its high temporal resolution, portability, and easiness to implement, for which the filter-banked ...

Presence of shrubs influences the spatial pattern of soil seed banks in desert herbaceous vegetation
Journal of Vegetation Science, 2008AbstractQuestion: Do shrubs influence the spatial pattern of soil seed banks in herbaceous vegetation and are these effects influenced by wind direction, sampling position (windward vs leeward sides of the shrub) and distance from the shrub?Location: Horqin desert in eastern Inner Mongolia, China. Methods: A pioneer shrub, Artemisia halodendron ...
