This study investigated the Stipa breviflora desert steppe through multi-scale (50m×50m, 25m×25m, 2.5m×2.5m) and grazing intensity (no grazing vs. heavy grazing) comparative analyses, revealing the response mechanisms of plant functional group diversity,

This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

This paper presents a method for automated detection of changes between updated largerscale (1:10,000) maps and to-be-updated smaller-scale (1:50,000) maps, with settlements as an example.

Marine benthic habitats are modified by a number of human-related disturbances. When these disturbances occur at large scales over areas of high environmental variability, it is difficult to assess impacts using metrics such as species richness or ...

Spatial scale of stereomotion speed processing
To examine the spatial scale of the mechanisms supporting the perception of motion in depth defined by binocular cues, we measured stereomotion speed discrimination thresholds as a function of stimulus size using a two-interval speed comparison task. Stimuli were either random dot stereogram (RDS) bars featuring both the changing disparity (CD) and the

Screening and epitope characterization of Nidogen‐2‐specific nanobodies
Camel immunization and phage display were employed to generate high‐affinity VHH nanobodies against Nidogen‐2. After library construction, biopanning, ELISA screening, sequencing, and recombinant expression, selected nanobodies were purified and characterized, leading to the preliminary exploration of a nanobody‐based sandwich ELISA for specific ...

Monitoring Post-Fire Deciduous Shrub Cover Using Machine Learning and Multiscale Remote Sensing
Wildfire and drought are key drivers of shrubland expansion in southwestern US landscapes. Stand-replacing fires in conifer forests induce shrub-dominated stages, and changing climatic patterns may cause a long-term shift to deciduous shrubland.

Matrix metalloproteinase‐9 (MMP9) drives ovarian cancer progression. Using MMP9‐null cells (M9‐KO) created from ovarian cancer cells, we found MMP9 loss did not block Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF)‐driven E‐cadherin dissolution or EMT but delayed and reduced EGF‐driven membrane protrusions. Transient MMP9 re‐expression drove membrane protrusion.
