Composition‐Aware Cross‐Sectional Integration for Spatial Transcriptomics

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
Multi‐section spatial transcriptomics demands coherent cell‐type deconvolution, domain detection, and batch correction, yet existing pipelines treat these tasks separately. FUSION unifies them within a composition‐aware latent framework, modeling reads as cell‐type–specific topics and clustering in embedding space.

The Interoperability Challenge in DFT Workflows Across Implementations

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
Interoperability and cross‐validation remain major challenges in the computational materials science. In this work, we introduce a common input/output standard that enables internal translation across multiple workflow managers—AiiDA, PerQueue, Pipeline Pilot, and SimStack—while producing results in a unified schema.

Accelerating the Discovery of Proton Conducting Electrolytes via Machine Learning‐Enabled Literature Mining

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
An end‐to‐end knowledge discovery framework is established to automate high‐precision property extraction from small, specialized literature corpora. Utilizing a domain‐specific bidirectional encoder representation from a transformer model and data augmentation, the system accurately extracts and structures electrolyte performance data, ultimately ...

A critical reappraisal of the carotid sinus and carotid bulb: Distinguishing neurohistological function from vascular geometry

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
This review redefines the carotid bulb (CB) as a variable geometric dilation shaped by hemodynamics and the carotid sinus (CS) as a conserved neurohistological baroreceptor field. Distinguishing these entities clarifies a century of anatomical confusion and links geometry, neurohistology, and clinical interpretation within a unified framework ...

Fag, faglighed og fagordbøger

open access: yesHermes, 1993
This paper argues that one of the reasons that existing bilingual (Danish -> English) LSP dictionaries are unsatisfactory is that insufficient emphasis is attached to the question of defining and delimiting the subject-matter covered, in respect of both ...

The role of editorial boards in shaping scholarly communication: A large‐scale mapping of their composition and structure

open access: yesJournal of the Association for Information Science and Technology, EarlyView.
Abstract Editorial boards play a central role in shaping scholarly communication by influencing what research is published and how disciplinary boundaries are defined. Despite their importance, large‐scale, systematic evidence on their composition and structure remains limited.

Lexicography for the third millennium

open access: yesIbérica, 2011
Emphasis on the functional approach to lexicography, for example the so-called Function Theory of Lexicography proposed by Bergenholtz and Tarp (2002, 2003 & 2004; see Tarp 2008 for a review), has promoted the vision that lexicography is at a crossroads ...

Specialised Lexicography for Learners: Specific Proposals for the Construction of Pedagogically-oriented Printed Business Dictionaries

open access: yesHermes, 2009
The function theory of lexicography argues that specialised lexicographical products must help learners to transform their information needs into aspects of knowledge of the discipline, and of its discursive properties. Lexicographers, then, must combine
