ABSTRACT Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are rare, high‐flow, vascular anomalies that can occur either sporadically or as part of a genetic syndrome. AVMs can progress with serious morbidity and even mortality if left unchecked. Sirolimus is an mTOR inhibitor that is effective in low‐flow vascular malformations; however, its role in AVMs is unclear.

Formation, production and viability of oospores of Phytophthora infestans from potato and Solanum demissum in the Toluca Valley, central Mexico [PDF]
Aspects of the ecology of oospores of Phytophthora infestans were studied in the highlands of central Mexico. From an investigation of a random sample of strains, it was found that isolates differed in their average capability to form oospores when ...

RECURRENT SELECTION FOR SPECIFIC COMBINING ABILITY FOR YIELD IN FOUR SLICING CUCUMBER POPULATIONS [PDF]
Plant breeders often measure selection progress for yield by measuring the hybrid performance (combining ability) of a breeding line. This information is used to develop breeding lines with higher combining ability. The objectives of this study were to measure the specific combining ability for yield traits over three selection ...

ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate the diagnostic yield and utility of universal paired tumor–normal multigene panel sequencing in newly diagnosed pediatric solid and central nervous system (CNS) tumor patients and to compare the detection of germline pathogenic/likely pathogenic variants (PV/LPVs) against established clinical referral criteria for cancer ...

Diallel analysis of selected yield-contributing traits in Okra [Abelmoschus esculentus (L.) Moench]
Information on gene action controlling quantitative traits is important for effective selection. A five-parent diallel cross, which generated 10 F1 hybrids of okra (Abelmoscus esculentus) were evaluated during the early and late planting seasons of 2019

ABSTRACT Purpose Although not always achieved, complete chemotherapy‐induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) control is the conventional goal of CINV prophylaxis. In this two‐center, mixed‐methods study, we sought to understand the preferences of adolescent patients and family caregivers for CINV control endpoints.

Combining ability studies in restorer lines of sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) [PDF]
The restorer lines are used to get fertile hybrids in hybrid seed production system of sunflower. Improve-ment of R-lines for fertility and oil content of sunflower is required to get desirable hybrids upon crossing.

ABSTRACT Background Families of children with cancer experience significant financial strain, even with universal healthcare. Indirect costs, such as productivity losses and non‐medical expenses, are rarely included in economic evaluations, and little is known about how effectively financial aid programmes alleviate this burden. Childhood brain tumours
