Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Optimization Source Structure of Electric Vehicle Using Calculation of Energy Consumption in Matlab GUI

open access: yesAdvances in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, 2015
The capacity of the primary energy source is the main parameter participating in a range of the electric vehicle (EV). The final choice of an appropriate structure of sources integrated into the vehicle can consist of one or a variety of energy sources ...

SPECIFICS OF THE ENERGY MARKETS [PDF]

open access: yesCES Working Papers, 2014
In this paper we have analyzed the specific characteristics of the energy markets in general and the products transacted, in particular. Due to its unique features, electricity, one of the most important products for the economic development of a country, has brought challenges to the organization of a liberalized market to be transacted on.

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Optimal drilling pressure of cone-tipped cutters based on characteristic size of hard and brittle rocks

open access: yesYantu gongcheng xuebao, 2020
In order to improve the rock-breaking efficiency of raising boring cutters under hard brittle rock, it is necessary to obtain the optimal drilling pressure. The analysis of the size of rock ballast is an important means. The cone-tipped cutter is used to

Comparison Study on Coarseness Index and Maximum Diameter of Rock Fragments by Linear Cutting Tests

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
Rock fragments obtained by excavation can provide information for evaluating the excavation efficiency, for which the coarseness index (CI) and particle size parameters (d50, dMPS, and d′) are used.

The planar cell polarity protein Vangl2 interacts with the PDZ‐domains of Scribble but not with a unique PDZ‐like domain in Inturned

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Ongoing phase separation inside hollow fiber membranes via non-solvent induced phase separation

open access: yesJournal of Membrane Science Letters
This study investigates the critical influence of residual solvent on pore evolution during the non-solvent induced phase separation (NIPS) process. Employing a comprehensive multi-technique approach, including FT-IR spectroscopy, UV absorbance, contact ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.
