SPECT/CT arthrography [PDF]

open access: yesThe British Journal of Radiology, 2017
Single photon emission CT (SPECT)/CT arthrography, the combination of CT arthrography and late phase bone SPECT/CT, has been developed in 2011 and so far used in knee, ankle and wrist joints. SPECT/CT offers functional information about increased bone turnover in combination with morphological details.

Direct comparison of thallium-201 and technetium-99m MIBI SPECT of a glioma by receiver operating characteristic analysis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The diagnostic value of single photon-emission computed tomography (SPECT) has been assessed using arbitrarily determined sensitivity and specificity cut-off values.

Plant‐Produced Viral Nanoparticles Decorated with Nanobodies Against HER2 Improve Retention and Recruitment of Immune Cells in Solid Tumors

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Potato virus X is a filamentous RNA plant virus that can be engineered into a molecular tool for cancer therapy. We produced genetically‐encoded virus‐derived nanoparticles decorated with nanobodies targeting cancer cell receptors, epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and human epidermal growth factor 2 (HER2).

Quantification of Bronchial Circulation Perfusion in Rats [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
The bronchial circulation is thought to be the primary blood supply for pulmonary carcinomas. Thus, we have developed a method for imaging and quantifying changes in perfusion in the rat lung due to development of the bronchial circulation.

The role of gated myocardial perfusion scintigraphy (GMPS) in myocarditis: A case report and review of the literature [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Acute myocarditis is one of the most challenging diagnoses and treatments in cardiology. The acute viral myocarditis diagnosis is usually based on high suspicion, history taking, and physical examination.

Structural Eigenmodes of the Brain to Improve the Source Localization of EEG: Application to Epileptiform Activity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Geometry and connectivity are complementary structures, which have demonstrated their ability to represent the brain's functional activity. This study evaluates geometric and connectome eigenmodes as biologically informed constraints for EEG source localization.

Half-line Schrodinger Operators With No Bound States [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
We consider Sch\"odinger operators on the half-line, both discrete and continuous, and show that the absence of bound states implies the absence of embedded singular spectrum.

Tomographic image quality of rotating slat versus parallel hole-collimated SPECT [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Parallel and converging hole collimators are most frequently used in nuclear medicine. Less common is the use of rotating slat collimators for single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT).

PET Imaging of Cardiac Inflammation in Viral Myocarditis Using a DPP4‐Targeted Probe

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study describes a DPP4‐targeted PET probe for imaging myocardial inflammation by selectively targeting activated immune cells. Derived from the clinically approved small‐molecule inhibitor linagliptin, the probe demonstrates favorable biodistribution with specific cardiac uptake in myocarditis.

Mitochondria and Neuromast Tagging With Fluorescent Gallium‐Triapine Analogues: In Cellulo MP FLIM and Zebrafish Live Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Fluorescent BODIPY‐conjugated thiosemicarbazone ligands and their Ga(III), In(III), and Fe(III) complexes, inspired by Triapine, are developed as theranostic agents. Multiphoton FLIM and confocal microscopy in cancer cells and zebrafish reveal real‐time uptake, mitochondrial localisation, and whilst spectroscopic assays indicated preserved complex ...
