Analysis of Infrared Spectral Radiance of O2 1.27 μm Band Based on Space-Based Limb Detection
The infrared spectral radiance of O2 is of great significance for space-based infrared detection. In this work, based on the demand for near-infrared spectral radiance of O2 limb detection, a method of spectral radiance calculation coupled with an ...

Effects of nonlocality in time of interactions of an atom with its surroundings on the broadening of spectral lines of atoms [PDF]
We investigate effects of nonlocality in time of the interaction of an atom with its surroundings on the spectral line broadening. We show that these effects can be very significant: In some cases nonlocality in time of this interaction can give rise to ...

A method to achieve spectral beam combining based on a novel symmetric grating
A symmetric grating is proposed to obtain higher output power in spectral beam combination by increasing the number of lasers and spectral utilization. The grating allows laser beams to be incident from both sides of the grating normal to achieve coaxial

The Spectral Line Shape of Exotic Nuclei [PDF]
The quadrupole strength function of $^{28}O$ is calculated making use of the SIII interaction, within the framework of continuum-RPA and taking into account collisions among the nucleons (doorway coupling).

Spectral line width decrease in the solar corona: resonant energy conversion from Alfv{é}n to acoustic waves [PDF]
Observations reveal an increase with height of the line width of several coronal spectral lines probably caused by outwardly propagating Alfv{\'e}n waves. However, the spectral line width sometimes shows a sudden decrease at a height 0.1-0.2 R, where the ratio of sound to Alfven speeds may approach unity.

Uniqueness theorems in inverse spectral theory for one-dimensional Schrödinger operators [PDF]
New unique characterization results for the potential V(x) in connection with Schrödinger operators on R and on the half-line [0,∞)are proven in terms of appropriate Krein spectral shift functions.

The Spectral Correlation Function -- A New Tool for Analyzing Spectral-Line Maps [PDF]
The "spectral correlation function" analysis we introduce in this paper is a new tool for analyzing spectral-line data cubes. Our initial tests, carried out on a suite of observed and simulated data cubes, indicate that the spectral correlation function [
