Exoplines: Molecular Absorption Cross-section Database For Brown Dwarf And Giant Exoplanet Atmospheres [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
Stellar, substellar, and planetary atmosphere models are all highly sensitive to the input absorption cross-sections and subject to errors arising from incomplete line lists and the lack of appropriate pressure-broadening parameters.

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

XUV spectra of the 1973 June 15 solar flare observed from Skylab. III - A list of spectral lines from 1000 to 1940 A

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Supplement Series, 1978
A wavelength list of spectral lines between 1000 and 1940 A is presented for the solar flare that occurred on June 15, 1973. The spectra were recorded by the NRL spectrograph on Skylab. The spectral resolution is 0.06 A. Intensities, identifications, and estimates of line widths are given.

Efficient Production of Hot Molecular Line Lists [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Molecular line lists are of utmost importance in understanding and characterising the molecular composition of atmospheres from their spectra. Cool stars and exoplanets such as Hot Jupiters have temperature ranges that allow for a significant composition

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Hot Molecular Line Lists for Extrasolar Planets and Industry [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
This research is a composite of projects which have individually contributed new results to their respective subjects, whilst collectively contributing to the updating of the ExoMol database to include pressure broadening. This research also represents a

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

The location and kinematics of the emission line regions in Active Galactic Nuclei [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
This thesis contains the results from a study of the optical emission lines of various samples of active galactic nuclei (AGN). We have used three separate techniques to determine the precise kinematics and the relative location of the emission line ...
