Two-wave sensor for remote selection of natural surfaces

open access: yesТехнологія та конструювання в електронній апаратурі, 2005
A sensor based on the active two-wave method of recognizing natural surfaces has been developed. The proposed method simplifies the determination of the reflective properties of a surface and reduces the error of range measurements.

Colour analysis and discrimination of laboratory prepared pasta by means of spectroscopic methods

open access: yesCzech Journal of Food Sciences, 2011
For the CIE Lab colour profile determination of laboratory prepared pasta, two sample granulations and two spectral methods were tested. Pasta was manufactured progressively from semolina, common wheat, and corn flour.

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

A trust region spectral method for large-scale systems of nonlinear equations

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2016
The spectral gradient method is one of the most effective methods for solving large-scale systems of nonlinear equations. In this paper, we propose a new trust region spectral method without gradient.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Differential expression of cancer‐related genes supports prediction of poor response to first‐line treatments in T‐ALL pediatric patients with high minimal residual disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the present work, we have identified a transcriptional signature based on the differential expression of six genes (BCL2&MAST4, HSH2D&LAT2, METRN&PITPNM2) that would facilitate the early detection of T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) patients prone to a poor treatment response and could be implemented at diagnosis, along with other risk ...
