An Explicit–Implicit Spectral Element Scheme for the Nonlinear Space Fractional Schrödinger Equation

open access: yesFractal and Fractional, 2023
In this paper, we solve the space fractional nonlinear Schrödinger equation (SFNSE) by developing an explicit–implicit spectral element scheme, which is formulated based on the Legendre spectral element approximation in space and the Crank–Nicolson leap ...

G-domains and spectral spaces

open access: yesJournal of Pure and Applied Algebra, 1988
Jedem G-

k-spaces of non-domain-valued geometric points

open access: yesApplied General Topology
The aim of this paper is to study the topological properties of algebraic sets with zero divisors. We impose a subbasic topology on the set of proper ideals of a k-algebra and this new “k-space” becomes a generalization of the corresponding Zariski space.

Numerical Simulation of a Space-Fractional Molecular Beam Epitaxy Model without Slope Selection

open access: yesFractal and Fractional, 2023
In this paper, we introduce a space-fractional version of the molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) model without slope selection to describe super-diffusion in the model. Compared to the classical MBE equation, the spatial discretization is an important issue in

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Fusion Method of RFI Detection, Localization, and Suppression by Combining One-Dimensional and Two-Dimensional Synthetic Aperture Radiometers

open access: yesRemote Sensing
Ocean salinity is a pivotal aspect of the ocean dynamic environment. Spaceborne L-band radiometers, like SMOS, Aquarius, and SMAP, offer a comprehensive approach to mapping out large-scale ocean salinity patterns.

Spectral geometry of κ-Minkowski space [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Physics, 2006
After recalling Snyder’s idea [Phys. Rev. 71, 38 (1947)] of using vector fields over a smooth manifold as “coordinates on a noncommutative space,” we discuss a two-dimensional toy-model whose “dual” noncommutative coordinates form a Lie algebra: this is the well-known κ-Minkowski space [Phys. Lett. B 334, 348 (1994)].

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.
