A spectrophotometric method for determination of sphingomyelinase
Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Lipids and Lipid Metabolism, 1978A colored derivative of sphingomyelin was synthesized and used as substrate for several sphingomyelinases. The compound is N-omega-trinitrophenyl-aminolaurylsphingosylphosphorylcholine. The rate of hydrolysis of this substrate was compared to that of bovine brain sphingomyelin, labelled with tritium in the choline moiety.

Spectrophotometric methods for the determination of manganese
Talanta, 1990A comprehensive and critical review of the available spectrophotometric methods for the determination of manganese is presented. Details are given of a wide range of direct colour-forming reactions of manganese with organic ligands, which have been claimed to be of use in analysis for the metal. The use of the very sensitive kinetic methods of analysis

Spectrophotometric methods for the determination of sulphathiourea
Journal of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis, 1991Three simple and sensitive spectrophotometric methods are described for the determination of sulphathiourea. The methods are based on the interaction of this thioamide with either iodine, tetracyanoethylene (TCNE) or copper nitrate to give the corresponding charge-transfer or metal-ion complexes, which can be measured at 363, 350 and 353 nm ...

Spectrophotometric methods for the determination of tolnaftate
Talanta, 1993Two simple and sensitive visible spectrophotometric methods (methods A and B) for the determination of tolnaftate in bulk samples and formulations are described. Method A (lambda(max) 490 nm) involves the reaction of tolnaftate with 2,6-dichloroquinone-4-chlorimide (DCQC: Gibb's reagent), while method B (lambda(max) 530 nm) is based on a similar ...

A spectrophotometric method for determination of urea
Clinica Chimica Acta, 1963Abstract If phenazone is substituted for perchloric acid or arsenic pentoxide in the diacetylmonoxime reaction for urea determination, a colored product is formed, apparently from a double condensation of phenazone with diacetylmonoxime and urea. The color has a maximum absorption at 460 mμ.

Mirtazapine, 1, 2, 3, 4, 10, 14b-hexahydro-2-methyl-pyrazino [2, 1-a] pyrido [2, 3-c] [G.L. Stimmel, J.A. Dopheide and S.M. Stahl, Pharmacotheraphy 17(1) (1997) 10] benzazepine, is a new and well tolerated antidepressant. It blocks pre-synaptic alpha2-adrenergic receptors and postsynaptic serotonin type 2 and type 3 receptors.

Spectrophotometric Bio assay method for Urokinase
Journal of Pharmacological and Toxicological Methods, 2010Urokinase is a potent plasminogen activator. Present Bio assay methods of Urokinase are very tedious. So a new simple spectrophotometric Bio assay method was developed to estimate thrombolytic activity of Urokinase. This Bio assay is designed for the quantitative in vitro spectrophotometric determination of Urokinase activity by utilizing its ...

Spectrophotometric and fluorimetric methods for the determination of indomethacin
The Analyst, 1986Three spectrophotometric methods and a fluorimetric method are described for the determination of indomethacin in bulk samples and pharmaceutical preparations based on the formation of coloured species with m-aminophenol-chloramine-T, resorcinol-sodium hypochlorite or phloroglucinol-hypochlorite reagent and a fluorescent species with m-aminophenol ...

Spectrophotometric methods for determination of cholinesterase activity
Clinica Chimica Acta, 1957Abstract Two spectrophotometric methods for cholinesterase determination which utilize thiocholine chloride esters as substrates were developed. The disappearance of the C-S bond at 229 mμ during the enzymic hydrolysis of the thiocholine chloride esters, permitted the measurement of the rate and activity of the enzyme samples.

A spectrophotometric method for the determination of hydroperoxides in liposomes
Spectrochimica Acta Part A: Molecular and Biomolecular Spectroscopy, 1998A modification of the Asakawa-Matsushita iodometric assay method for the determination of the content of lipid hydroperoxides was developed which permits the simultaneous processing of many samples of high lipid content. The method has the advantages of simplicity as well as good reproducibility, so it is not necessary to process standards with each ...
