A Spectrophotometric Method for the Estimation of Reserpine
Abstract A spectrophotometric method for the estimation of reserpine in crude drugs and pharmaceutical preparations has been described. The method is capable of detecting microquantities of reserpine (0.25 μg./ml.). It is capable of estimating reserpine in crude drugs, alkaloidal mixtures, reserpine and serpentina tablets.

A Spectrophotometric Method for the Analysis of Pepsin
p-Nitrophenyl sulfite was found to be a suitable synthetic substrate for rapid spectrophotometric analysis of pepsin in gastric secretion. When this substrate was incubated with enzyme, the maximal rate of change of absorbance at 320 nm was found to be directly proportional to enzyme concentration.

Total Nitrogen Determination by a Spectrophotometric Method [PDF]
Being able to measure total nitrogen (TN) is important for following the nitrogen budget. In this chapter, we present the spectrophotometric method we use for determining TN. The method relies on oxidation and reduction steps, involving persulfate digestion of nitrogen compounds into nitrate followed by spectrophotometric determination.

A Spectrophotometric Method for the Estimation of Phenindione
Abstract A spectrophotometric method for the estimation of phenindione in pharmaceutical preparations and body fluids and tissues is described. It has a greater sensitivity than the existing British Pharmacopoeia method. Advantage has been taken of the solubility of the drug in toluene and the sensitivity of measurement has been found to
