SPECTROSCOPIC AND MICROSCOPIC CHARACTERISTICS OF HUMAN SKIN AUTOFLUORESCENCE EMISSION

Photochemistry and Photobiology, 1995
AbstractTo improve the understanding of human skin autofluorescence emission, the spectroscopic and microscopic characteristics of skin autofluorescence were studied using a combined fluorescence and reflectance spectroanalyzer and a fiber optic microspectrophotometer.

Spectroscopic Characteristics of Atomic Positive Ions

1985
Numerical data are presented for low-lying terms of singly charged atomic positive ions, radiative lifetimes of low-lying resonant excited states and typical parameters of ionic metastable states. The optical transition (n ≤ 2) wavelengths, transition probabilities and radiative lifetimes of atomic ions isoelectronic to hydrogen and helium are also ...

Spectroscopic characteristics of Sm3+-doped alkali fluorophosphate glasses

Spectrochimica Acta Part A: Molecular and Biomolecular Spectroscopy, 2006
Optical absorption, luminescence and lifetime measurements of Sm(3+)-doped alkali fluorophosphate glasses with molar compositions of 50(NaPO(3))(6)+10TeO(2)+20AlF(3)+19RF+1Sm(2)O(3) (R=Li, Na and K) are described. The variation of optical properties with glass composition plays a dominant role in the determination of efficient laser materials. From the

Structure and spectroscopic characteristics of 4-tert-butylphenoxyacetylhydrazones of arylaldehydes

Spectrochimica Acta Part A: Molecular and Biomolecular Spectroscopy, 2007
By reaction of 4-tert-butylphenoxyacetylhydrazide with aromatic aldehydes and acetone a new series of 4-tert-butylphenoxyacetylhydrazones was synthesized. The structural peculiarities of the investigated molecules have been determined by means of X-ray analysis and IR spectroscopy.

Characteristic and spectroscopic properties of the Schiff-base model compounds

Spectrochimica Acta Part A: Molecular and Biomolecular Spectroscopy, 2009
Two series of conjugated aromatic imines (Schiff-base model compounds) with different central groups and various side-group substitutions have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) technique, hydrogen nuclear magnetic resonance ((1)H NMR), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) and ultra-violet and

Tissue uorophores and their spectroscopic characteristics

2014
Natural tissue autofluorescence (AF) originates primarily from specific endogenous fluorophores located in mitochondria (NAD(P)H and flavin coenzymes, porphyrins, and lipopigments), structural proteins in extracellular matrix (ECM; collagen and elastin), cell lysosomes (lipofuscins), and various aromatic amino acids appearing in many proteins within

Growth and spectroscopic characteristics of Er3+:YbVO4 crystal

Journal of Crystal Growth, 2009
Abstract A laser crystal Er 3+ :YbVO 4 has been grown by the Czochralski method with excellent quality. The rocking curve from the (0 0 4) diffraction plane of the as-grown Er 3+ :YbVO 4 crystal was measured and the full-width at half-maximum value was found to be 19.80 in. for the (0 0 4) face.

Spectroscopic determination of the characteristics of precipitating auroral particles

Journal of Geophysical Research, 1975
A large data base obtained from NASA Convair auroral expeditions is used to illustrate the variability in 6300A/4278A and 5577A/4278A ratios in auroras. The variation is well bounded by theoretical curves for characteristic spectral energies between 0.3 and 10 keV, which are typical for auroral precipitation.

Spectroscopic and Laser Characteristics of Neodymium-doped Calcium Fluorophosphate

Applied Optics, 1968
Laser oscillations have been produced in large crystals of Nd(3+)-doped Ca(5)(PO(4))(3)F (the mineral fluorapatite, whence the coined name FAP) at room temperature under both tungsten lamp and flash lamp excitation. The laser tests show that FAP:Nd crystals have four times greater gain per incident pump energy and over one and a half times greater ...

Characteristics of the Spectroscopic Binaries in the Halo of the Galaxy

Publications of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific, 1992
This thesis presents the analysis of high-resolution, low-signal-to-noise spectroscopic observaitons of a kinematically selected group of about 1300 F-, G-, and K-type dwarfs with proper motions larger than 0.26" per year. The sample includes a significant fraction of stars from the halo of our Galaxy, and the main goal is to characterize the ...
