Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

Speech Segregation based on Pitch Track Correction and Music-Speech Classification

open access: yesAdvances in Electrical and Computer Engineering, 2012
A novel approach for pitch track correction and music-speech classification is proposed in order to improve the performance of the speech segregation system.

The relationship between acoustic indices of speech motor control variability and other measures of speech performance in dysarthria

open access: yes, 2012
Previous studies suggested that variability indices based on information extracted from the acoustic signal are potentially useful in assessing dysarthric speech.

Longitudinal genome‐wide aneuploidy measurements in circulating cell‐free DNA to predict lack of benefit from pembrolizumab in patients with metastatic urothelial cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Many patients with urothelial cancer do not benefit from treatment with pembrolizumab, while at risk of severe side effects. Changes in the levels of circulating tumor DNA early during treatment, measured by a simple and affordable assay that can be easily implemented in the clinic, can be used as a prognostic tool to identify these patients.

Depression and Anxiety Screening for Pregnant Women via Free Conversational Speech in Naturalistic Condition

open access: yesIEEE Access
Depression and anxiety during pregnancy are critical public health concerns, impacting both maternal and fetal well-being. The onset of these mental health conditions during pregnancy can lead to adverse outcomes, such as preterm birth and impaired ...

Tumor B‐cell infiltration in platinum‐treated advanced muscle‐invasive urothelial carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Bladder tumors with higher pretreatment memory B‐cell infiltration were linked to longer survival after cisplatin chemotherapy, but not carboplatin. These tumors also showed more organized immune structures (tertiary lymphoid structures) and a shared pro‐inflammatory B‐cell‐rich community, suggesting that memory B cells may help identify patients most ...

High-quality analysis/synthesis method based on Temporal decomposition for speech modification [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The challenge of speech modification is to flexibly modify the speech without degrading speech quality. The conventional methods are limited by their inability to flexibly control speech signals in time and frequency domains.

Liquid biopsy‐based diagnostic evaluation of hypermethylated CpG sites for ovarian cancer diagnosis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This schematic outlines the workflow from biomarker identification to duplex MethyLight assay validation for epithelial ovarian cancer diagnosis using cfDNA‐based liquid biopsy. Initial screening of hypermethylated CpG candidates (cg02957270, cg10061138 cg00480298, COL2A1) was performed in tissue using ARMS‐PCR, COBRA, qPCR and image analysis. Selected

The effect of modality and speaking style on the discrimination of non-native phonological and phonetic contrasts in noise

open access: yes, 2015
Auditory speech is difficult to discern in degraded listening conditions, however the addition of visual speech can improve perception. The Perceptual Assimilation Model [1] suggests that non-native contrasts involving a native phonological difference ...
