Sperm morphology training in India

Andrologia, 2014
Sperm morphology is regarded as possibly the most consistent sperm variable that is related to in vitro and in vivo fertilisation success or failure. There is also a re-emerging awareness of andrology, particularly in developing countries where healthcare resources are often limited. This study aimed to record the importance of hands-on training on the

Sperm Production and Sperm Morphology of Swedish Warmblood Stallions

Reproduction in Domestic Animals, 2009
ContentsThe present study investigated daily sperm output and sperm morphology of fresh semen in eight Swedish Warmblood stallions aged 5–8 years. They were used for artificial insemination, and their fertility during the breeding season of semen collection exceeded 60% per cycle.

Intracytoplasmic Morphology-Selected Sperm Injection

2012
Approximately 40% of sterility in couples can be attributed to male subfertility and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) has become a powerful tool in assisted reproduction to overcome male infertility. Intracytoplasmic morphologically selected sperm injection (IMSI) is an advanced and sophisticated method of ICSI, where prior to sperm injection ...

Morphological abnormalities in zebrafish cryopreserved sperm

Cryobiology, 2020
The aim of the present study was to evaluate the effect of cryopreservation on the morphology of zebrafish sperm (Danio rerio). Sperm from 30 males were collected and divided in two treatments: fresh and cryopreserved semen. The following were measured sperm morphology, motility and membrane integrity.

Abnormal morphology of vervet monkey sperm

Journal of Medical Primatology, 1996
Abstract: Ejaculates of 14 colony‐bred and 14 wild‐caught vervet monkeys were examined for morphologically abnormal sperm. Sperm head abnormalities were rare in both groups, occurring at rates of 0.01–0.29%. Tail abnormalities predominated, particularly bent midpieces and coiled and folded tails, which all occurred at rates of 3.79–17.18%.

Consistency of Sperm Morphology Classification Methods

Journal of Andrology, 1994
ABSTRACT: The World Health Organization (WHO) recently suggested new morphometric dimensions for normal sperm heads and new sperm head classification rules. These specifications differ from previous WHO methods and from the Kruger method for strict morphology assessment.

Effects of Cannabinoids on Sperm Morphology

Pharmacology, 1979
Sperm morphology was studied in hybrid mice of genotype (C57BL X C3H)F1 following treatment with specific cannabinoids. Mice were treated for 5 consecutive days with the specific cannabinoid; 35 days after the last treatment, epididymal sperm were scored in the light microscope and assessed in the scanning electron microscope.

Morphology and the sperm penetration assay

Fertility and Sterility, 2003
To assess the ability of Kruger morphology to predict the outcome of the sperm penetration assay (SPA).A retrospective review using univariate and multivariate analysis, t tests, and logistic regression was performed to examine the correlation between Kruger morphology and the optimized zona-free hamster egg sperm penetration assay (O-HESPA).University

Sperm morphology and male urogenital infections

Andrologia, 2009
The aim of this study was to investigate the influence of urogenital infections as indicated by leukocytospermia on human sperm morphology, diagnosed cytologically and by means of a leukocyte peroxidase test. A basic semen analysis, including a leukocyte peroxidase test, was prospectively performed on 150 consecutive semen samples. Cytology smears were
