Hypothalamic POMC Neurons Gate the Fear‐Feeding Trade‐Off
Advanced Science, EarlyView.Hungry animals must continually arbitrate between feeding and defensive behaviors when confronted with potential threats. We show that hypothalamic POMC neurons engage CRH‐expressing stress circuits and downstream hormonal responses to coordinate this behavioral selection between competing behaviors.
