Antifouling capacity of substrate materials and their effects on settlement and post‐settlement survival of Acropora palmata and Orbicella faveolata

open access: yesRestoration Ecology, EarlyView.
Abstract Introduction In coral reef restoration, sexual reproduction is a key methodology to enhance coral population recovery. However, post‐settlement survival remains a major bottleneck, as spat are particularly vulnerable to competition with fouling organisms.

Voltage‐gated potassium channels mediate thyroid hormone control of skeletal muscle excitability

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract figure legend Thyroid hormone (TH)‐dependent remodelling of potassium (K+) channel networks regulates skeletal muscle (SkM) excitability. Triiodothyronine (T3), locally generated from thyroxine (T4) by type 2 deiodinase (D2), binds thyroid hormone receptors (TRα/β) and modulates transcription via thyroid response elements (TREs).

Comparative proteomic analysis of bone marrow mononuclear cells and peripheral blood mononuclear cells for autologous therapeutic implantation in chronic wounds

open access: yesClinical and Translational Discovery, Volume 6, Issue 6, December 2026.
• Integrative evaluation with proteomic analysis of mononuclear cells (MNC) from bone marrow (BM) or peripheral blood (PB) sources for autologous cell implantation in patients with chronic wounds sheds light on molecular differences and clinical outcomes. • BM‐MNC and PB‐MNC exhibited distinct and source‐specific proteomic signatures.

Genome evolution of Mediterranean olives following DNA repeats diversification

open access: yesThe Plant Genome, Volume 19, Issue 4, December 2026.
Abstract The olive tree (Olea europaea L. subsp. europaea) is one of the most representative perennial crops of the Mediterranean Basin, yet the genomic processes underlying its domestication and diversification remain poorly understood. Here, we investigated repeatome variation across 20 accessions, including 11 wild oleasters and nine cultivated ...

Histological Findings in Testes of Baboons (Papio spp.) and Dwarf Bucks (Capra hircus) Subject to Repeated Immunisation Against GnRH

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 6, November 2026.
Long‐term repeated immunisation against GnRH resulted in the absence of active spermatogenesis and may lead to irreversible infertility in dwarf bucks and baboons. Histological examination revealed a marked reduction of the seminiferous tubular lumen, complete depletion of germ cells, germ cell vacuolization and tubular hyalinization.

SDF‐1 Attenuates Oocyte Quality Decline During Reproductive Aging Through Autophagy‐Enhanced Stress Granule Scavenging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 59, 23 October 2026.
SDF‐1 levels decline significantly with maternal aging. Exogenous supplementation restores meiotic spindle morphology, chromosomal alignment, and mitochondrial function while reducing oxidative stress in aged oocytes. Mechanistically, SDF‐1 enhances autophagic activity to clear accumulated stress granules, thereby rescuing fertilization competence and ...
