Preparation of spherical agglomerates from potash alum [PDF]
Salt hydrates are low-cost, readily available PCMs (phase change materials). As a core material for encapsulation the salt agglomerates can be prepared by spherical agglomeration, a well-known method to produce drug loaded microspheres in the ...

Spherical crystallization of drugs
Spherical crystallization of drugsSpherical crystallization of drugs is the process of obtaining larger particles by agglomeration during crystallization. The most common techniques used to obtain such particles are spherical agglomeration and quasi-emulsion solvent diffusion.

Comparative Investigation of Membrane Systems for Crystallization and Spherical Agglomeration
In this study, two novel spherical agglomeration processes based on membrane systems were successfully implemented to produce spherical agglomerates of benzoic acid crystals obtained via antisolvent crystallization.

Inhibition effect of polyvinyl butyral on crystallization of polypropylene [PDF]
In this work, a series of polypropylene/polyvinyl butyral (PP/PVB) blends were prepared by melt-blending process, at PVB loadings 3 wt%, 10 wt%, and 30 wt%.

Crystallization kinetics of poly(lactic acid)-talc composites [PDF]
The crystallization kinetics of Poly(lactic acid) / talc composites were determined over a range of 0 wt.% to 15 wt.% of talc. Talc was found to change the crystallization kinetics.

Grain Boundary Scars on Spherical Crystals [PDF]
We present an experimental system suitable for producing spherical crystals and for observing the distribution of lattice defects (disclinations and dislocations) on a significant fraction (50%) of the sphere. The introduction of fluorescently labeled particles enables us to determine the location and orientation of grain boundary scars.
