Metal nanostructure‐coupled label‐free localized surface plasmon resonance biosensors for rapid and sensitive disease diagnosis

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
LSPR biosensing enables rapid, sensitive, and low‐sample‐volume detection of biomarkers, with broad applications in diagnosing cancer, infectious, and chronic diseases. Advances in nanostructure design, micro/nanofabrication, and microfluidic integration have expanded the potential of LSPR sensors in biomedical diagnostics.

Analytical Investigation of Roller Skew and Tilt in a Spherical Roller Bearing

Journal of Tribology, 2022
Abstract The objective of this investigation was to analytically investigate the performance of a spherical roller bearing (SRB) operating under various loading and speed combinations. In order to achieve the objective, a full six degrees-of-freedom SRB dynamic model was developed.

A Fatigue Life Comparison of Two-Row Tapered Roller Bearings and Spherical Roller Bearings

Tribology Transactions, 1999
Tests were run to compare the fatigue life of two-row tapered roller bearings to that of spherical roller bearings. Both bearing types had an outer diameter of 110 mm with the spherical roller bearing having a 22 percent larger dynamic radial load rating than the tapered roller bearings.

New spherical roller bearings

Industrial Lubrication and Tribology, 1995
Describes SKF’s three new spherical roller bearings, E for smoother running, VA 405 to resist vibration and CARB for axial displacement and misalignment. Gives a paper mill as an example of the successful use of CARB.
