Cold storage of porcine hepatocyte spheroids for spheroid bioartificial liver [PDF]

open access: yesXenotransplantation, 2019
AbstractBackground and aimsCell‐based therapies for liver disease such as bioartificial liver rely on a large quantity and high quality of hepatocytes. Cold storage was previously shown to be a better way to preserve the viability and functionality of hepatocytes during transportation rather than freezing, but this was only proved at a lower density of

Preparation and properties of TiB2/AlSi10Mg composite powders used for selective laser melting

open access: yesFenmo yejin jishu, 2023
TiB2/AlSi10Mg composite powders used for selective laser melting were prepared by high-energy ball milling and plasma spheroidization, using the AlSi10Mg powders and high purity TiB2 powders as the raw materials prepared by gas atomization.

Forming regularity of Mo–Re alloy powders by cold isostatic pressing

open access: yesFenmo yejin jishu
The cold isostatic pressing of Mo–47.5%Re alloy powders (mass fraction) mixed by ball milling and plasma spheroidization was compared and analyzed. The compression parameters were fitted and the relationship between pressing pressure and billet density ...

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Numerical simulation of the spheroidization process with cored wire injection in liquid iron using finite volume method

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2021
We develop a finite volume method for the simulation of the liquid iron cored wire feeding spheroidization technology, which can realize the visualization of the spheroidization process and provide guidance for parameter optimization.

Optimization of the SiC Pretreatment Process for Thick Heavy Section Heat-resistant Si-Mo Ductile Iron

open access: yesJournal of Harbin University of Science and Technology, 2022
To solve the problem of nodularization and graphite degeneration of thick section heat-resistant Si-Mo ductile iron, standard Y-type test blocks with different wall thickness were poured, and the effects of the SiC pretreatment process on the ...

Microbiome−host proteostasis crosstalk—An emerging perspective on mechanisms and interventions toward healthy longevity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Proteostasis and the gut microbiota play a key role in shaping host physiology. Microbiota‐derived metabolites, vitamins, and RNA modulate host proteostasis. Findings from model systems, including C. elegans, indicate microbes can either stabilize or disrupt host proteostasis.
