Microstructural evolution during spheroidization annealing of eutectoid steel :effect of interlamellar spacing and cold working [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Eutectoid steels present a wide range of interesting mechanical properties (high strength, wear resistance, ductility and toughness) and could be a cheaper alternative to high strength low-alloyed steels (HSLA) in applications where weldability is not a ...

Forming regularity of Mo–Re alloy powders by cold isostatic pressing

open access: yesFenmo yejin jishu
The cold isostatic pressing of Mo–47.5%Re alloy powders (mass fraction) mixed by ball milling and plasma spheroidization was compared and analyzed. The compression parameters were fitted and the relationship between pressing pressure and billet density ...

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Numerical simulation of the spheroidization process with cored wire injection in liquid iron using finite volume method

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2021
We develop a finite volume method for the simulation of the liquid iron cored wire feeding spheroidization technology, which can realize the visualization of the spheroidization process and provide guidance for parameter optimization.

Optimization of the SiC Pretreatment Process for Thick Heavy Section Heat-resistant Si-Mo Ductile Iron

open access: yesJournal of Harbin University of Science and Technology, 2022
To solve the problem of nodularization and graphite degeneration of thick section heat-resistant Si-Mo ductile iron, standard Y-type test blocks with different wall thickness were poured, and the effects of the SiC pretreatment process on the ...

Microbiome−host proteostasis crosstalk—An emerging perspective on mechanisms and interventions toward healthy longevity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Proteostasis and the gut microbiota play a key role in shaping host physiology. Microbiota‐derived metabolites, vitamins, and RNA modulate host proteostasis. Findings from model systems, including C. elegans, indicate microbes can either stabilize or disrupt host proteostasis.

Spheroidization Modification of Artificial Graphite Applied as Anode Materials for High Rate Lithium Ion Batteries [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Rate capability tests showed that artificial graphite after spheroidization treatment exhibited a higher capacity in the higher C-rate region (2~10C) at a 0.1 C rate charge and variable C-rates discharge.

Experiences in powder plasma spheroidization [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Plasma spheroidization is a method by which originally non-spherical or at least not optimally round powder particles are melted with plasma flame. Natural spheroidization occurs due to surface tension, which leads to better flowing powders used for ...
