Effect of cyclic heat treatment with hot deformation on the microstructure and structural orientation of TC17 titanium alloy lamellae

open access: yes工程科学学报, 2017
The effects of cyclic heat treatment and hot deformation on the spheroidization and orientation of the TC17 titanium alloy were investigated using a light microscope (LM) and electron backscattered diffraction (EBSD).

Fabrication of spherical Ti–6Al–4V powder for additive manufacturing by radio frequency plasma spheroidization and deoxidation using calcium

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology, 2020
Commercial hydride-dehydride Ti–6Al–4V powder was used as raw material to fabricate high-quality spherical Ti–6Al–4V powder by radio frequency (RF) plasma spheroidization and calcium deoxidation in this work.

Dwarf spheroidals in MOND [PDF]

open access: yesMonthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society, 2008
We take the line of sight velocity dispersions as functions of radius for 8 Milky Way dwarf spheroidal galaxies and use Jeans analysis to calculate the mass-to-light ratios (M/L) in Modified Newtonian Dynamics (MOND). Using the latest structural parameters, distances and variable velocity anisotropy, we find 6/8 dwarfs have sensible M/L using only the ...

Spheroidal Ambisonics: a Spatial Audio Framework Using Spheroidal Bases

open access: yesCoRR, 2021
Ambisonics is an established framework to capture, process, and reproduce spatial sound fields based on its spherical harmonics representation. We propose a generalization of conventional spherical ambisonics to the spheroidal coordinate system and spheroidal microphone arrays, which represent sound fields by means of spheroidal wave functions.

ZW4864‐mediated inhibition of the β‐catenin/BCL9/BCL9L complex reveals therapeutic potential in bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...

Dwarf Spheroidal Galaxies [PDF]

open access: yesSymposium - International Astronomical Union, 1994
Dwarf Spheroidal (dSph) galaxies are the faintest baryonic systems recognized as galaxies. Understanding the structure and stellar populations of these systems is critical for the modelling of their formation and evolution, and by extension, for understanding the general problem of galaxy formation ...

Matrix metalloproteinase‐9 regulates cell adhesion and membrane protrusive activity of ovarian cancer cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Matrix metalloproteinase‐9 (MMP9) drives ovarian cancer progression. Using MMP9‐null cells (M9‐KO) created from ovarian cancer cells, we found MMP9 loss did not block Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF)‐driven E‐cadherin dissolution or EMT but delayed and reduced EGF‐driven membrane protrusions. Transient MMP9 re‐expression drove membrane protrusion.

INFLUENCE OF PULSED DIVISION OF OXIDE SPHEROIDS IN A PLASMA FLOW UPON THE STRUCTURE OF COATINGS

open access: yesВесці Нацыянальнай акадэміі навук Беларусі: Серыя фізіка-тэхнічных навук, 2018
The purpose of this part of the research was to study the structural transformations at the transition of particlemicrocomposites from plasma flow into sprayed layer, taking into account grinding of spheroids. The results of investigations of the impulse

Pharmacological inhibition of the PERK pathway modulates hepatocellular carcinoma growth and immune signaling

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...
