Differential Proteomic Analysis to Reveal the Mechanism of Heat Damage in Soybean Using a Data‐Independent Acquisition (DIA) Strategy

open access: yesFood Safety and Health, EarlyView.
Heat‐stressed soybeans adapt to elevated temperatures through coordinate regulation of destructive and protective protein expression ‐ suppressing detrimental proteins while enhancing beneficial ones. ABSTRACT Soybean represents the largest imported agricultural product in China. Imported soybeans are typically transported via maritime shipping. During

Seasonal Predictions and Their Applications in the Mediterranean Region: Part II—Prediction‐Based Services

open access: yesInternational Journal of Climatology, EarlyView.
This review explores climate predictions as actionable decision‐making tools, focusing on the Mediterranean. It examines transforming forecasts into user‐defined information through bias adjustment, downscaling and impact models. Highlighting collaborative EU initiatives, it addresses challenges like limited forecasting skill and data accessibility ...

Spatiotemporal Droughts Propagation and Direct Driving Variables Under Climate Change Projections: A Case Study of Tunisia

open access: yesInternational Journal of Climatology, EarlyView.
Drought spatiotemporal propagation and direct driving variables are assessed at multiple time steps with high spatial resolution using various drought indices (SPI, SPEI and SPDI) and entropy based mutual information under an ensemble of climate change projections over Tunisia. ABSTRACT Projecting drought occurrence and spatiotemporal propagation under

Growing Degree‐Day Trends Associated With ‘False Springs’ in the Continental United States

open access: yesInternational Journal of Climatology, EarlyView.
Earlier spring warming has increased growing degree‐day (GDD) accumulation prior to the last freeze at some US locations (red circles = stat. sig. increases). However, after accounting for spatial autocorrelation using a false discovery rate approach, few trends remain significant, indicating no coherent continental‐scale increase in false spring risk.

Characterisation of Drought and Wet Events in the Paraíba do Sul River Basin—Brazil

open access: yesInternational Journal of Climatology, EarlyView.
Trend analysis identified statistically significant reductions in precipitation (at the 5% significance level) at specific pluviometric stations in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, while other areas, mainly in Minas Gerais, experienced significant increases in annual and seasonal rainfall, particularly during summer and spring. These significant trends at

Occurrence of Crocuta (Carnivora, Hyaenidae) from a potential Middle Pleistocene site at Pirro Nord (Apricena, southern Italy)

open access: yesJournal of Quaternary Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The Pirro Nord quarry has yielded evidence of one of the earliest hominin presences in western Europe, accompanied by an extremely rich and diverse collection of vertebrate remains, including amphibians, reptiles, birds, and small and large mammals.

Reconstructing the Holocene explosive eruptive history of the Erciyes volcano (Turkey) using proximal and distal tephra records

open access: yesJournal of Quaternary Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Mount Erciyes, the largest active volcano of Central Anatolia (Turkey), erupted explosively during the Holocene, producing the Karagüllü, Perikartin and Dikkartin tuff rings. Even though major cities like Kayseri and its ~1 million residents sit directly on these pyroclastic deposits, the timing and magnitude of the explosive eruptions have ...
