RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

In Materia Neuron Spiking Plasticity for Sequential Event Processing Based on Dual‐Mode Memristor
Artificial neurons are the fundamental elements in neuromorphic computing systems. Studies have revealed neuronal spike‐rate adaptation owing to intrinsic plasticity that neurons will adapt to the spiking patterns and store the events in the background ...

On-chip Few-shot Learning with Surrogate Gradient Descent on a Neuromorphic Processor [PDF]
Recent work suggests that synaptic plasticity dynamics in biological models of neurons and neuromorphic hardware are compatible with gradient-based learning (Neftci et al., 2019).

Visual Recovery Reflects Cortical MeCP2 Sensitivity in Rett Syndrome
ABSTRACT Objective Rett syndrome (RTT) is a devastating neurodevelopmental disorder with developmental regression affecting motor, sensory, and cognitive functions. Sensory disruptions contribute to the complex behavioral and cognitive difficulties and represent an important target for therapeutic interventions.

On The Delays In Spiking Neural P Systems
In this work we extend and improve the results done in a previous work on simulating Spiking Neural P systems (SNP systems in short) with delays using SNP systems without delays.

Simulating FRSN P Systems with Real Numbers in P-Lingua on sequential and CUDA platforms [PDF]
Fuzzy Reasoning Spiking Neural P systems (FRSN P systems, for short) is a variant of Spiking Neural P systems incorporating fuzzy logic elements that make it suitable to model fuzzy diagnosis knowledge and reasoning required for fault diagnosis ...

Fluctuation-Dissipation Relations for Spiking Neurons
Spontaneous fluctuations and stimulus response are essential features of neural functioning but how they are connected is poorly understood. I derive fluctuation-dissipation relations (FDR) between the spontaneous spike and voltage correlations and the firing rate susceptibility for i) the leaky integrate-and-fire (IF) model with white noise; ii) an IF

Age‐Related Characteristics of SYT1‐Associated Neurodevelopmental Disorder
ABSTRACT Objectives We describe the clinical manifestations and developmental abilities of individuals with SYT1‐associated neurodevelopmental disorder (Baker‐Gordon syndrome) from infancy to adulthood. We further describe the neuroradiological and electrophysiological characteristics of the condition at different ages, and explore the associations ...
