3D multilevel spin transfer torque devices
Spin-transfer torque magnetic tunneling junction devices capable of a multilevel three-dimensional (3D) information processing are studied in the sub-20-nm size range. The devices are built using He+ and Ne+ focused ion beam etching. It has been demonstrated that due to their extreme scalability and energy efficiency, these devices can significantly ...

Electric‐Current‐Assisted Nucleation of Zero‐Field Hopfion Rings
This work reports a novel and efficient nucleation protocol for 3D localized topological magnetic solitons‐hopfion rings in chiral magnets using pulsed electric currents. By using Lorentz transmission electron microscopy and topological analysis, we report characteristic features and extraordinary stability of hopfion rings in zero or inverted external

Anion‐exchange doping of conjugated polymers is an effective way to achieve high conductivities. Here, we report over 2000 S cm−1 electrical conductivity for doped P(g3BTTT). In addition, we show that P(g3BTTT) sustains exceptionally high doping levels without any drop in the charge mobility.

Resonant Domain Wall Dynamics in a Three‐Dimensional Magnetic Nano Double Helix
3D magnetic nanostructures promise exciting possibilities for magnetization dynamics. However, experimental realizations remain scarce. In nanoprinted cobalt double helices, time‐resolved X‐ray microscopy reveals harmonic domain wall dynamics. Simulations identify the mode and additional higher‐frequency resonances, revealing a rich dynamic landscape ...

Angular Dependence of Spin Transfer Switching in Spin Valve Nanopillar Based Heusler Alloy
The spin transfer induced magnetization switching in current perpendicular-to-the-plane spin valve nanopillar based Co2FeAl0.5Si0.5 Heusler alloy with varying the initial angles of the magnetization of sensing layer, θ0, was investigated via macrospin ...

Magnetoresistance and spin-transfer torque in magnetic tunnel junctions
We comment on both recent progress and lingering puzzles related to research on magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJs). MTJs are already being used in applications such as magnetic-field sensors in the read heads of disk drives, and they may also be the first ...
