Particle approximations of Wigner distributions for n arbitrary observables
A class of signed joint probability measures for n arbitrary quantum observables is derived and studied based on quasicharacteristic functions with symmetrized operator orderings of Margenau-Hill type.

Observables and amplitudes for spinning particles and black holes
We develop a general formalism for computing classical observables for relativistic scattering of spinning particles, directly from on-shell amplitudes.

Model-independent constraints on spin observables
We discuss model-independent constraints on spin observables in exclusive and inclusive reactions, with special attention to the case of photoproduction.Comment: 6 pages, 5 figures, Talk by J.-M.

ZFAS1 is a lncRNA promoting cell proliferation and migration, exhibiting high expression in various cancers. It is conserved, widely expressed, and produces multiple splice variants with unclear roles. We identified several splice variants in hepatocyte models, and found that inhibiting or suppressing regulators of the unfolded protein response (PERK ...

Sensitivity studies of spin cut-off models on fission fragment observables
A fission fragment de-excitation code, FIFRELIN, is being developed at CEA Cadarache. It allows probing the characteristics of the prompt emitted particles, neutrons and gammas, during the de-excitation process of fully accelerated fission fragments. The

Experimental determination of the complete spin structure for anti-proton + proton -> anti-\Lambda + \Lambda at anti-proton beam momentum of 1.637 GeV/c [PDF]
The reaction anti-proton + proton -> anti-\Lambda + \Lambda -> anti-proton + \pi^+ + proton + \pi^- has been measured with high statistics at anti-proton beam momentum of 1.637 GeV/c.

Black Hole Spin: Theory and Observation [PDF]
In the standard paradigm, astrophysical black holes can be described solely by their mass and angular momentum - commonly referred to as `spin' - resulting from the process of their birth and subsequent growth via accretion. Whilst the mass has a standard Newtonian interpretation, the spin does not, with the effect of non-zero spin leaving an indelible

ERα splice variant ERα∆7 lacks the C‐terminus, and its expression may change phenotypes of breast cancers. Our results showed that ERα∆7 is found in the luminal A subtype, and elevated ERα∆7 levels are linked to improved cell survival with lower proliferation and migration.

Accuracy of the finite-temperature Lanczos method compared to simple typicality-based estimates
We study trace estimators for equilibrium thermodynamic observables that rely on the idea of typicality and derivatives thereof such as the finite-temperature Lanczos method (FTLM). As numerical examples quantum spin systems are studied.

Positivity domains for pairs of triples of spin observables [PDF]
Positivity restrains the allowed domains for pairs or triples of spin observables in polarised reactions. Various domain shapes in ${1\over2}+{1\over2}\to{1\over2}+{1\over2}$ reactions are displayed.
