The Nonlinear Stability Prediction and FEM Modeling of High-Speed Spindle System with Joints Dynamic Characteristics

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2014
When predicting the nonlinear stability of high-speed spindle system, it is necessary to create an accurate model that reflects the dynamic characteristics of the whole system, including the spindle-bearing joint and spindle-holder-tool joints.

Dynamic Analysis of a High-Speed Grinding Spindle

open access: yes, 2011
This paper presents the effects of spindle system configuration on the dynamic and static characteristics of high speed grinding. A 3D physical mode of high-speed grinding motorized spindle system with rotation speed of 150m/s was provided. The motorized

Amuc_1473 Links Gut Microbes to Skeletal Homeostasis and Counteracts Multifactorial Osteoporosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Amuc_1473, a previously uncharacterized protein enriched in Akkermansia muciniphila‐derived extracellular vesicles, is identified as a gut–bone messenger that promotes osteogenesis and inhibits osteoclastogenesis by engaging transcriptional and translational regulators in bone cells.

The organization of the microtubule cytoskeleton and its role on nuclear dynamics in the multinucleate hyphae of "Ashbya gossypii" revealed by live cell imaging and electron microscopy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Nuclear migration is important for normal growth and development of all eukaryotes including filamentous fungi. Among those, Ashbya gossypii, which is evolutionarily related to the budding yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae, is a particularly attractive ...

Multi‐Omics Profiling Reveals Immunomodulatory and Pro‐Regenerative Effects of a Graphene Oxide–Collagen Scaffold in Massive Rotator Cuff Tears

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A graphene oxide/collagen scaffold is developed for chronic massive rotator cuff tear repair. The scaffold improves compressive stability, supports reparative mesenchymal differentiation, and modulates the immune microenvironment. In chronic MRCT models, it reduces muscle degeneration, enhances tendon–bone regeneration, and improves functional recovery,

A Computational Strategy for Identifying Self‐Assembling Food‐Derived Molecules for Antiparasitic Nanotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An integrated computational screening strategy identified ursolic acid (UA) and 18β‐glycyrrhetinic acid (18βGA) as a self‐assembling food‐derived molecular pair. The resulting carrier‐free nanoparticles (UA‐18βGA) showed synergistic antiparasitic activity, reduced combined toxicity, and host‐protective anti‐inflammatory effects in zebrafish and murine ...

Some aspects about Milling: Expert System for cutting parameters selection and Control Designs

open access: yes, 2006
Milling is a mechanical process which consist of the relative movement between feeding the work-piece and rotating the multitooth cutter, to remove material from the work-piece. Milling is used in industry for the manufacturing of mechanical components.

Temporal Interference Stimulation Enhances Neural Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Temporal interference (TI) stimulation is proposed as a non‐invasive approach to enhance neural regeneration in the deep brain. Theta‐band TI modulation selectively promotes neural progenitor cell differentiation in vitro and augments hippocampal neurogenesis in amouse model of Alzheimer's disease‐like amyloidosis.
