Prospectively determined clinical T and N categories clearly stratified long‐term survival in locally advanced gastric cancer. Patients with cT3N+, cT4aN0, cT4aN+, and cT4b disease showed unfavorable prognosis despite standard treatment. These findings may help optimize patient selection for perioperative treatment strategies.

Diffuse lymphocytic lymphoma with splenic rupture [PDF]
WHEN the splenic capsule is found to be lacerated or the spleen avulsed from its pedicle, it is almost always due to recent injury. Occasionally, a patient will present as an acute abdominal emergency with or without the signs of haemorrhage but no history of recent injury, and at laparotomy, rupture of the spleen will be found.

Spleens With Disseminated Lymphoma Exhibit Higher Standardized Uptake Value Maximum, Metabolic Tumor Volumes, and Total Lesion Glycolysis on Fluorine-18 Fluorodeoxyglucose Positron Emission Tomography/Computed Tomography. [PDF]
ABSTRACT Standardized uptake value maximum (SUVmax), metabolic tumor volumes (MTV), and total lesion glycolysis (TLG) are metabolic parameters used to quantify tumors detected on fluorine‐18 fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (18F‐FDG PET/CT).
