In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

EFFECT OF NITROGEN LEVELS AND BIOFERTILIZER SOURCES ON TWO BARLEY CUL TIVARS. [PDF]
Two field experiments were carried out at Sakha Agricultural Research Station, during 2001/2002 and 200212003 seasons to study the response of two barley cultivars (Giza 123 and Giza 2000) to nitrogen levels (0, 30 and 45 kg N/fad.) and ...

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

EFFECT OF SOWING DATE AND IRRIGATION INTERVALS ON YIELD AND ITS COMPONENTS OF SOME WHEAT CULTIVARS. [PDF]
The Field experiments were conducted out during the twosuccessive winter seasons of 2012/2013 and 2013/2014 at theExperimental Farm (Demo) of the Faculty of Agriculture, at FayoumUniversity, Egypt .The aim of these experiments was to evaluate yieldand ...

Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Reconstructing enzyme evolution by protein engineering
Natural enzyme evolution can be retraced by protein engineering methods such as directed evolution, rational design, and ancestral sequence reconstruction. These approaches reveal how enzymes emerged from ligand‐binding scaffolds, developed varying substrate preferences, formed oligomeric complexes, adapted to environmental changes, and evolved novel ...

Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

EFFECT OF SOWING AND HARVESTING DATES ON YIELD AND ITS QUALITY FOR SOME FLAX VARIETIES [PDF]
A two field experiment was conducted 2004l2005 and 2005(2006 seasons at Etay El-Baroud Agric. Res. Station to study the effect of sewing and harvesting date on yield and yield components of some flax varieties.
