The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Growth stresses and physical properties of Eucalyptus dunnii wood in Argentina [PDF]
To evaluate growth stresses in Eucalyptus dunnii and determine the effect of physical wood properties on that variable, a total of 45 trees were sampled from a 19-years-old trial located at Corrientes, Argentina. Growth stresses were determined using the

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

TAM splits in conditional argument indexing
Abstract A common type of split ergativity is conditioned by tense and/or aspect in that an ergative-absolutive system occurs in the past tense or perfective aspect and a nominative-accusative system occurs in the non-past tense(s) or imperfective aspect ( DeLancey 1982 ,

Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Rotary veneering of plantation-grown spotted gum (Corymbia citriodora subsp. variegata) and Dunn's white gum (Eucalyptus dunnii) [PDF]
This report evaluates the wood and veneer properties of plantation-grown spotted gum (Corymbia citriodora subsp. variegata, or CCV) and Dunn's white gum (Eucalyptus dunnii), grown at different stockings, in thinning trials near Ellangowan in north-east ...

The splitting index for linear differential systems
AbstractConsider the linear differential operator associated with an n-dimensional first order linear system of time varying ordinary differential equations. Conditions are given on the system for time near plus and minus infinity which guarantee that the operator is Fredholm.
