This paper presents a systematic investigation into the solvability and the general solution of a tensor equation system within the split quaternion algebra framework. As an extension of classical quaternions with distinctive pseudo-Euclidean properties,

ABSTRACT Introduction Bloodstream infections due to repeated vascular access (VA) puncture and circuit connections remain major concerns in hemodialysis. Therefore, we examined current practices for glove, disinfectant, and personal protective equipment (PPE) use according to VA type in national university hospitals in Japan.

Mapping the evolution of mitochondrial complex I through structural variation
Respiratory complex I (CI) is crucial for bioenergetic metabolism in many prokaryotes and eukaryotes. It is composed of a conserved set of core subunits and additional accessory subunits that vary depending on the organism. Here, we categorize CI subunits from available structures to map the evolution of CI across eukaryotes. Respiratory complex I (CI)

This study establishes a novel algebraic connection between Horadam numbers and the split quaternion algebra. To this end, two fundamental constructs are introduced: the Fibonacci Sq,r-split quaternions and the Horadam sq,r-split quaternions, which ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Rational torsion points on abelian surfaces with quaternionic multiplication
Let A be an abelian surface over ${\mathbb {Q}}$ whose geometric endomorphism ring is a maximal order in a non-split quaternion algebra. Inspired by Mazur’s theorem for elliptic curves, we show that the torsion subgroup of $A({\mathbb {Q}})$

Split Jacobsthal and Jacobsthal-Lucas Quaternions
In this paper, we introduce split Jacobsthal and split Jacobsthal-Lucas quaternions. We obtain generating functions and Binet’s formulas for these quaternions. We also investigate some properties of them.

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative
