Preferences of Pediatric Patients and Their Caregivers for Chemotherapy‐Induced Nausea and Vomiting Control Endpoints: A Mixed Methods Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Although not always achieved, complete chemotherapy‐induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) control is the conventional goal of CINV prophylaxis. In this two‐center, mixed‐methods study, we sought to understand the preferences of adolescent patients and family caregivers for CINV control endpoints.

Two-sided Clifford Fourier transform with two square roots of -1 in Cl(p,q) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We generalize quaternion and Clifford Fourier transforms to general two-sided Clifford Fourier transforms (CFT), and study their properties (from linearity to convolution).

Outcomes of Live Virus Vaccination in Patients With Vascular Anomalies Being Treated With Sirolimus

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Live vaccination in patients with vascular anomalies (VA) receiving sirolimus remains controversial due to immunosuppressive effects and theoretical risks. Procedure This single‐center retrospective study included patients with VA less than 4 years old at the start of sirolimus therapy who were incompletely vaccinated.

Some Fixed Points Results of Quadratic Functions in Split Quaternions

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, 2016
We attempt to find fixed points of a general quadratic polynomial in the algebra of split quaternion. In some cases, we characterize fixed points in terms of the coefficients of these polynomials and also give the cardinality of these points.

Prevalence and Trajectory of Household Material Hardship Among Children With Advanced Cancer

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background/Objectives Families of children with advanced cancer living in poverty experience inferior outcomes including poor parent mental health and worse child quality of life. Household material hardship (HMH: food, housing, transportation, and/or utility insecurity) is a modifiable poverty exposure—and potential intervention target—that ...

Finite groups whose coprime graph is split, threshold, chordal, or a cograph [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the Estonian Academy of Sciences
Given a finite group G, the coprime graph of G, denoted by Γ(G), is defined as an undirected graph with the vertex set G, and for distinct x, y ∈ G, x is adjacent to y if and only if (o(x), o(y)) = 1, where o(x) and o(y) are the orders of x and y ...

The Fate (Outcome) of Clinically Apparent Single Lesion and Oligofocal Nephroblastomatosis Treated According to SIOP/GPOH Protocols for Wilms Tumor

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background The management of clinically apparent single lesions or oligofocal nephroblastomatosis, a facultative precursor of nephroblastoma, remains debated. Methods We retrospectively analyzed 37 patients with clinically apparent single or oligofocal nephroblastomatosis (two to three lesions per kidney) among 2347 patients registered between

Research on Least-Square η-Hermitian Solutions of Split Quaternion Matrix Equations

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics
In this article, we use the real representation matrix of the split quaternion matrix, vector operator, Kronecker product, and Moore–Penrose generalized inverse.

‘They Need to Hear You Say It’: Healthcare Professionals’ Perspectives on Barriers and Enablers to End‐of‐Life Discussions With Adolescents and Young Adults With Cancer

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT End‐of‐life conversations with adolescents and young adults (AYAs) with cancer rarely occur without the guidance of healthcare professionals. As a part of the ‘Difficult Discussions’ study, focused on palliative care and advance care planning discussions with AYAs with cancer, we investigated the factors that healthcare professionals identify ...

Split quaternion Fourier transforms for two-dimensional real invariant field

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica
The article gives the corresponding split quaternions in Clifford analysis and the split Fourier transform (FT). Also, we investigate some properties of the split FT and apply to generalizations of the quaternion FT.
