Efektivitas Insektisida Alami Ekstrak Daun Legetan Untuk Mengendalikan Hama Ulat Grayak (Spodoptera Litura) Pada Daun Cabai Skala Laboratorium [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Spodoptera litura or grayak caterpillar is one type of pest that can cause damage to the plant. Plants attacked one of them chili plants. The use of natural insecticides from legetan plants can eradicate grayak worms (Spodoptera litura).

Non‐coding RNAs in plant stress responses: molecular insights and agricultural applications

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, Volume 23, Issue 8, Page 3195-3233, August 2025.
Summary Non‐coding RNAs (ncRNAs) have emerged as crucial regulators in plant responses to environmental stress, orchestrating complex networks that finetune gene expression under both abiotic and biotic challenges. To elucidate this intricate ncRNA crosstalk, this review comprehensively summarizes recent advances in understanding the mechanisms of key ...

Mahogany Wood-Waste Vinegar as Larvacide for Spodoptera litura

open access: yesBioResources, 2015
The carbonization of lignocelullosic waste to obtain wood vinegar (WV) was investigated in this work. WV was used as a botanical insecticide against armyworm (Spodoptera litura), which is known as a major pest of soybean crops in Indonesia. This study includes the following: (i) the assessment of potential use of lignocellulosic waste from mahogany ...

Highly Efficient Generation of Germline Mutations Using CRISPR/Cas9 in the Speckled Wood Butterfly Pararge aegeria

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 15, Issue 7, July 2025.
We demonstrate the efficient use of CRISPR/Cas9 to generate germline loss‐of‐function (LOF) mutations in the speckled wood butterfly (Pararge aegeria), an ecological model species. Targeting the yellow‐y gene, we achieved nearly 80% mosaic LOF phenotypes in adults and high germline mutation rates in offspring.
