Molecular characterization of covRS mutations in M1UK Streptococcus pyogenes
Group A Streptococcus (GAS) acquires covRS mutations driving a hypervirulent bacterial state, frequently associated with invasive disease‐like necrotizing fasciitis. We demonstrate that the newly emerged M1UK GAS lineage can also acquire these mutations.

Spontaneous current generation in cosmic strings [PDF]
It is shown that in models including the standard electroweak theory and for some particular values of the underlying parameters, electric currents can be spontaneously generated in cosmic strings, without the need of any external field (e.g., electric or magnetic) as is required in most models.
