Stimulated Raman lineshapes in the large light–matter interaction limit
Stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) represents a powerful tool for accessing the vibrational properties of molecular compounds or solid state systems. From a spectroscopic perspective, SRS is able to capture Raman spectra free from incoherent background ...

Continuous-wave Raman amplification in silicon core fibers pumped in the telecom band
Stimulated Raman amplification is observed for the first time in the silicon core fiber (SCF) platform. The SCFs were tapered to obtain sub-micrometer core dimensions and low optical transmission losses, facilitating efficient spontaneous scattering and ...

Dynamical resonance quench and Fano interference in spontaneous Raman scattering from quasiparticle and collective excitations [PDF]
Time-resolved spontaneous Raman spectroscopy serves as a probe for incoherent quasiparticle and collective excitation dynamics, and allows to distinguish symmetry changes across a photoinduced phase transition through the inelastic light scattering ...

Improved sensitivity gas detection by spontaneous Raman scattering [PDF]
Accurate, real-time measurement of the dilute constituents of a gaseous mixture poses a significant challenge usually relegated to mass spectrometry. Here, spontaneous Raman backscattering is used to detect low pressure molecular gases. Rapid detection of gases in the approximately 100 parts in 10(6) (ppm) range is described.
