A Bone Marrow–Mimetic Hydrogel Enables Dual‐Phase Hemostasis and Vascularized Osteogenesis for Cranial Defects

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A biomimetic, fiber‐reinforced hydrogel (FE‐PDA@Fib/Gel‐TG) that enables dual‐phase cranial defect repair. The system provides: instant hemostasis in the early stage, and sustained co‐delivery of pro‐angiogenic and osteogenic signals for synergistic vascularized bone regeneration.

Absent or Not?: Classically Conditioning Spike-and-Wave Discharge in Sprague Dawley Rats

open access: yes, 2016
Spike-and-wave discharge is an electroencephalographic brainwave found in many rodent species and studied rigorously in inbred laboratory rats (WAG/Rij and GAERS strains) for its similarities to absence epilepsy.

Lighting up Macrophage Reprogramming Assists Immunosuppressive Niche Modulation in Primary Tumors and Tumor‐Draining Lymph Nodes of Breast Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study develops an intelligent NIR‐II‐responsive nanoplatform to combat immunosuppression in breast cancer. It enables real‐time visualization of macrophage activity via “off‐on” fluorescence while simultaneously reprogramming macrophages through the CSF‐1R and CD47‐SIRPα pathways.

In Vivo Electrochemical Monitoring of Safinamide Pharmacokinetics in the Brain Explores Its Correlation With Vision‐Related Neuronal Activity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An electrochemical platform based on differential pulse amperometry enables real‐time, selective tracking of safinamide pharmacokinetics in the living brain with high spatiotemporal resolution. When integrated with electrophysiology, this approach reveals that drug‐induced suppression of vision‐related neuronal activity provides mechanistic insight ...

The pharmacokinetic parameters of WB403 in Sprague-Dawley rats.

open access: yes, 2015
The oral bioavailability (F%) was calculated as F (%) = AUC0-∞(p.o.) / AUC0-∞(i.v.) × Dose (i.v.) / Dose (p.o.). Values are mean ± SEM (n = 5).The pharmacokinetic parameters of WB403 in Sprague-Dawley rats.

Mastication‐Induced Electrical Stimulation Activates Prg4+ Chondroprogenitors for Osteoarthritis Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a ″trash‐to‐treasure″ strategy that converts harmful joint overloads into beneficial electrical cues. The biodegradable MagPie, by providing piezoelectrical stimulation and releasing Mg2+ during mastication, exerts synergistic pro‐regenerative and anti‐inflammatory effects on Prg4+ cells via the ECM‐mediated FAK‐PI3K‐Akt axis ...
