A Geometrically Transient Platform for Bioelectronic Implants
Minimally invasive bioelectronic implants often compromise performance for smaller sizes. To resolve this optimization dilemma, a wireless bioelectronic implant with a transient geometry is introduced (MiFi). The origami‐inspired device miniaturizes up to sixfold for syringe insertion and autonomously unfolds post‐implantation.

Temporo-spectral imaging of intrinsic optical signals during hypoxia-induced spreading depression-like depolarization. [PDF]
Spreading depression (SD) is characterized by a sustained near-complete depolarization of neurons, a massive depolarization of glia, and a negative deflection of the extracellular DC potential.

A solid‐state ionic actuator integrates sensing, actuation, and memory within one material. A brief UV pulse induces long‐lasting deformation via coupled network rearrangement, dehydration, and rehydration, while ionic redistribution enables self‐powered sensing, supporting multifunctional, energy‐efficient soft robotic functions without continuous ...

We introduce a novel method combining microfluidics, optogenetics, and human induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) technology to encapsulate single iPSC‐derived cardiomyocytes (iPSC‐CMs) in an optimal environment for functional characterization. This method enables direct genotype‐phenotype correlation for genetic studies and high‐throughput screening ...

Recent studies have linked spreading depolarization (SD, an electro-chemical wave in the brain following stroke, migraine, traumatic brain injury, and more) with increase in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) flow through the perivascular spaces (PVSs, annular ...

Low‐index and low‐loss vdW muscovite represents an emerging robust dielectric platform for the creation of next‐generation all‐vdW nanophotonic architectures. Its utilization as a low‐index building‐block in all‐vdW multilayers enables extreme optical contrast when paired with MoS2, paving the way to the realization of few‐layer ultrathin DBS ...

Spreading depolarizations (SD) are slow waves of complete depolarization of brain tissue followed by neuronal silencing that may play a role in seizure termination. Even though SD was first discovered in the context of epilepsy research, the link between
