Adaptive Differential Space-Time-Spreading-Assisted Turbo-Detected Sphere Packing Modulation [PDF]
In this contribution a novel adaptive differential space-time spreading assisted turbo detected sphere packingmodulation scheme is proposed for improving the achievable throughput of code division multiple access (CDMA) systems.

Spreading speeds and spreading sets of reaction-diffusion equations
This paper deals with the large time dynamics of bounded solutions of reaction-diffusion equations with unbounded initial support in $\mathbb{R}^N$. We prove a variational formula for the spreading speeds in any direction, and we also describe the asymptotic shape of the level sets of the solutions at large time.

Numerical simulation of spreading drops [PDF]
We consider a liquid drop that spreads on a wettable surface. Different time evolutions have been observed for the base radius r depending of the relative role played by inertia, viscosity, surface tension and the wetting condition. Numerical simulations

Downlink Steered Space-Time Spreading For Multi-Carrier Transmission Over Frequency Selective Channels [PDF]
This paper presents a novel amalgam of Steered Space-Time Spreading (SSTS) and Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) designed for attaining both spatial diversity gain and beamforming gain for transmission over OFDM-symbol-invariant ...

Spreading Speeds of Nonlocal KPP Equations in Heterogeneous Media [PDF]
In this paper, we prove the existence of the spreading speed of nonlocal KPP equations in two cases: 1. The media is almost periodic and the kernel of diffusion is continuous; 2. The media is periodic and the diffusion is not continuous but weak irreducible.

Dynamics of a time-periodic and delayed reaction-diffusion model with a quiescent stage
In this paper, we study a time-periodic and delayed reaction-diffusion system with quiescent stage in both unbounded and bounded habitat domains. In unbounded habitat domain $\mathbb{R}$, we first prove the existence of the asymptotic spreading speed and

Bistable traveling wave solutions in a competitive recursion system with Ricker nonlinearity
Using an abstract scheme of monotone semiflows, the existence of bistable traveling wave solutions of a competitive recursion system is established. From the viewpoint of population dynamics, the bistable traveling wave solutions describe the strong ...

Spreading Speeds and Traveling Waves for Nonmonotone Integrodifference Equations [PDF]
Summary: The spreading speeds and traveling waves are established for a class of nonmonotone discrete-time integrodifference equation models. It is shown that the spreading speed is linearly determinate and coincides with the minimal wave speed of traveling waves.

On the Speed of Spread for Fractional Reaction‐Diffusion Equations [PDF]
The fractional reaction diffusion equation ∂tu + Au = g(u) is discussed, where A is a fractional differential operator on ℝ of order α ∈ (0, 2), the C1 function g vanishes at ζ = 0 and ζ = 1, and either g ≥ 0 on (0, 1) or g < 0 near ζ = 0. In the case of nonnegative g, it is shown that solutions with initial support on the positive half axis spread ...
