Generalized Uncertainty Relations and Coherent and Squeezed States [PDF]
Characteristic uncertainty relations and their related squeezed states are briefly reviewed and compared in accordance with the generalizations of three equivalent definitions of the canonical coherent states. The standard SU(1,1) coherent states are shown to be the unique states that minimize the Schroedinger uncertainty relation for every pair of the

On the Coherent States and the Squeezed States
Chinese Physics Letters, 1995In this paper the coherent and the squeezed state of the bose field is written as a universal form by means of a projector which transforms the old vacuum state to the new vacuum state. The transformed vacuum state is the coherent state or the squeed state. Our result is equivalent to the original definitions.

Squeezed and coherent states of fractional photons
Physical Review D, 1987We define k'-photon uncertainties \ensuremath{\Delta}${X}_{(k\mathcal{'})}$,\ensuremath{\Delta}${P}_{(k\mathcal{'})}$ in k-photon states, and show that all such calculations can be correlated using a fractional photon index r\ensuremath{\equiv}k'/k. We exemplify by choosing as k-photon states the coherent states of the k-photon generalized harmonic ...

Superpositions of coherent states: Squeezing and dissipation
Physical Review A, 1992In this paper we discuss the nonclassical properties of quantum superpositions of coherent states of light. Using general expressions for the Wigner functions of superposition states we analyze the consequences of quantum interference between coherent states. We describe in detail nonclassical properties of a superposition of two coherent states.

Coherent state expansion of squeezed states
Physics Letters A, 1990Abstract It is shown that coherent state expansions that can be easily obtained from the characteristics function are especially convenient to describe squeezing. Using this representation as an example we calculated the photon-number distribution and the cross- correlation for the two-mode squeezed coherent state.

Generalized coherent states and generalized squeezed coherent states
Physical Review D, 1985Roy and Virendra Singh showed that the harmonic oscillator possesses an infinite string of exact shape-preserving coherent wave-packet states \ensuremath{\Vert}n,\ensuremath{\alpha}〉 having classical motion. In this paper it is shown that the states \ensuremath{\Vert}n,\ensuremath{\alpha}〉 could be obtained from the coherent state \ensuremath{\Vert ...

A Pedestrian Introduction to Coherent and Squeezed States [PDF]
This review is intended for readers who want to have a quick understanding on the theoretical underpinnings of coherent states and squeezed states which are conventionally generated from the prototype harmonic oscillator but not always restricting to it.
