Generalized coherent states and generalized squeezed coherent states

Physical Review D, 1985
Roy and Virendra Singh showed that the harmonic oscillator possesses an infinite string of exact shape-preserving coherent wave-packet states \ensuremath{\Vert}n,\ensuremath{\alpha}〉 having classical motion. In this paper it is shown that the states \ensuremath{\Vert}n,\ensuremath{\alpha}〉 could be obtained from the coherent state \ensuremath{\Vert ...

Coherent state expansion of squeezed states

Physics Letters A, 1990
Abstract It is shown that coherent state expansions that can be easily obtained from the characteristics function are especially convenient to describe squeezing. Using this representation as an example we calculated the photon-number distribution and the cross- correlation for the two-mode squeezed coherent state.

Squeezed and coherent states of fractional photons

Physical Review D, 1987
We define k'-photon uncertainties \ensuremath{\Delta}${X}_{(k\mathcal{'})}$,\ensuremath{\Delta}${P}_{(k\mathcal{'})}$ in k-photon states, and show that all such calculations can be correlated using a fractional photon index r\ensuremath{\equiv}k'/k. We exemplify by choosing as k-photon states the coherent states of the k-photon generalized harmonic ...

Superpositions of coherent states: Squeezing and dissipation

Physical Review A, 1992
In this paper we discuss the nonclassical properties of quantum superpositions of coherent states of light. Using general expressions for the Wigner functions of superposition states we analyze the consequences of quantum interference between coherent states. We describe in detail nonclassical properties of a superposition of two coherent states.

Double squeezing in generalized q-coherent states

Journal of Physics A: Mathematical and General, 1994
Summary: Using a generalization of the \(q\)-commutation relations, we develop a formalism in which we define generalized \(q\)-bosonic operators. This formalism includes both types of the usual \(q\)-deformed bosons as special cases. The coherent states of these operators show interesting and novel noise reduction properties including simultaneous ...

Thermal Coherent States and Thermal Squeezed States

Journal of Modern Optics, 1991
Abstract Various definitions of thermal coherent states and thermal squeezed states are compared and interrelated. Different ordering of squeezing, displacement and thermalizing operators is discussed in order to establish a relation between all definitions.
