Abstract Squeezed state of light has drawn an enormous attention in information processing and digital communication since it has broken the quantum limit of noise. Here we have analytically investigated the interactions among coherent and vacuum squeezed states of light, interaction among coherent vacuum and squeezed states of light, and that ...

In chapter 12 we introduced the Bose operators b and b†. In this chapter we study the spectrum of b. This leads to the so-called coherent states (Louisell [37]). We adopt the Dirac notation. Coherent states are applied to a wide variety of physical problems (Klauder and Skagerstam [32], Kowalski and Steeb [33]).

Coherent Phase State and Squeezed Phase State
1990Because of its importance for achieving the ultimate quantum limits on phase measurement,1,2 we have been investigating the properties of the Susskind-Glogower (SG) phase operator;3 for a single mode of the radiation field whose annihilation operator is â, the SG phase operator is $$\widehat {{e^{i\phi }}} \equiv {\left( {\hat a{{\hat a}^\dag ...

Squeezing via one-dimensional distribution of coherent states
Physical Review Letters, 1990Summary: It is found that strong squeezing can be obtained by special superposition of coherent states along a straight line in the \(\alpha\)-plane. This mechanism opens new possibilities for squeezing, e.g., of the molecular vibrations during a Franck-Condon transition induced by a short coherent light pulse.

GENERALIZED SUPERPOSITIONS OF SQUEEZED COHERENT STATES
Modern Physics Letters B, 2001The superpositions of a pair of squeezed coherent states (SCS) with different squeezing parameters are defined. The characteristic function (CF) for the generalized superpositions of SCSs is given. Photon number distribution for these states is considered. The Q-function for the generalized superposition of SCSs is investigated.

Coherent states and squeezed light
2006Abstract In the preceding two chapters we have explored the consequences of quantizing the energy of a light beam in terms of the number of photons. This enabled us to classify light according to either the photon statistics or the second-order correlation function.
